I have been with AFAA for over 10 years and was always happy with their programming and service until the past 6 months. I am greatly disappointed with their customer service. No one ever answers the phones. I have waited over 45 minutes before and still haven't reached anyone. Email response times are super slow or you never get a response. Rarely can you actually talk to an actual person. They are unstaffed, disorganized, and customer service is lacking. I have emailed and called numerous times and I still can't get someone who can actually help me resolve a situation. I am extremely disappointed that this is the way they treat customers who have been with them for 10 years:(.

I certified about 3 years ago and the employee who I did my online video certification with was incredibly rude. Historically I have had a terrible time navigating AFAA's website, but that seems to be better lately. My biggest disappointment at this point is that I have a terrible time finding any pole fitness certifications that give me AFAA CEU's even though I can find many that give ACE CEU's. Would really like to see some pole fitness certs come out!

I have read many reviews about people having issues with the recertification process with the new AFAA organization. My recent experience was outstanding when renewing my Personal Fitness Trainer certification. My application and CEUs were received by AFAA on Feb.6th. I received an e-mail stating that my renewal was complete on Feb. 9th and that I would receive my certificate in 4 to 6 weeks. My certificate arrived on Feb. 24th (2 weeks ahead of schedule). The renewal process was much better than the old organization.

I have been a AFAA certified member for over 20 years. Their recert fees have recently changed and not for the better. I really appreciate the recert for life option at $299 but it should apply to both certs. I have the group and PT and there has always been a discount on the re cert fees. Really $600! Very disappointed!!

I was certified originally in 2007 as a primary group fitness instructor. I recently went through the recertification process. I bought the at-home study because that fit in with my schedule as a stay at home mom. Submitted the materials in December 2015 and by the end of the year received my updated certificate. I had a great customer service experience and am impressed with the variety of workshops that are available as online studies. Love AFAA!

Was upset when they cancelled the "live training". I had a lot of questions that I didn't get answered. I don't feel I am ready to train someone although I did pass the test. Also I want to know if you sell T-shirts with the cute AFAA logo?

I have had my Group X certification with AFAA for two years now and I have never been more impressed. From the certification prep, to the day of the certification with the trainer to the customer service on the back end, I can say I have always been met with top notch professionalism. Tonight I had to contact Customer Service twice for a few minor issues on my end and each time I spoke with a gentleman named Mike. He was incredibly helpful, easy to talk to and each time he was able to help me within mere minutes. Mike - I appreciate you tonight! AFAA- Incredible customer service.
