La Botella De Leche

This is the best hostel in Tamarindo - the atmosphere and customer service are great. The place is very clean and the private rooms are spacious. Marcos, the owner, is very welcoming and truly cares about your experience. Great value for money.

I stayed 20 days at la botella de leche and felt really safe. The hostel is very centrally located and is very good value for money. Everything was clean and the staff was really friendly and helpfully. I would stay there every time again. It‘s also nice that they have a swimmingpool. - Selina Bäumler.

I strongly recommend staying here. The hostel was great. It was clean, safe, well located. They offer activities for a good price. The staff went above and beyond when a friend and I had a situation with an activity we did outside of the hostel, they made us feel safe and immediately cut ties with this bad activity company. They are strict about the lights and sound stopping at 11pm. Overall great hostel experience.

I spent a sweek in La Botella de Leche for a surf camp and it was one of the best experience of my trip! I stayed in the dorm, which is clean and comfortable (with AC 😍). The facilities of the hostel are amazing! With the pool, hammocks, the well-furnished kitchen and the gym ☺. Plus, if you want to take surf lessons, it's definitely the best place to do it in Tamarindo with good equipment and the best teachers. The staff is super friendly and helpful! I highly recommend it and will be back for sure. Thanks again to Leo, Jero and the others for this week.

My friend and me stayed at the hostel for one week and i can not say any negative things about it! It was truly amazing. The location is perfect, Leo (Manager) and all the staff do their work just great and are super friendly. Kitchen, rooms, shared areas… everything was perfectly clean and there is no way you will feel constricted. We enjoyed it so much and can truly recommend it.

Great stay at this family runned hostel in Tamarindo! I went to this town to scuba dive especially and Botella was without a doubt a great choice! Amazing helpful staff, complimentary costa rican coffee 24/7 ☕️ ❤️, great heated open air pool. Good vibes for surfing and diving enthusiasts that like to spend quality and affordable chilling time.

I stayed with a friend one week in a private room where everything was very clean, nice and comfortable. The staff was very friendly, Leo was always willing to help and give very good recommendations :) In addition, the location is really good, close to the beach, a supermarket and the center where the shops and restaurants are! I would definitely come back :)

I stayed in La Botella de Leche for a couple nights and I had a great experience there! The place has all the amenities you need, a fully equipped kitchen, a fitness room and a pool surrounded by hammocks to chill. It is a walking distance to everything as it is close to grocery stores, ATM, restaurants, bars and most importantly the beach!! It is also very close to the weekly night market! I’m a solo traveler and the hostel was a great place to make friends and socialize. The staff there really makes the hostel stand out as they are super friendly and helpful, especially the manager, Leo, who was very welcoming, outgoing and kind! His support and warmth made all the difference! I highly recommend this hostel l and I will definitely stay there again in a future visit to Tamarindo!

I spent around a week in La botella and it was a great experience. I really enjoy the vibe and atmosphere of the place. It has a nice pool and the workers are very friendly ( Flo my favorite one deff ) ❤️ . Is quite close to stores, ATM and other amenities, so dont miss the chance of staying here 😊.

My sister and I stayed in a private room at La Botella de Leche for 4 nights. It feels like it hard to add to the many other fantastic reviews but I wanted to write one because our stay here truly was a highlight of our trip. We stayed at a total of three hostels in Costa Rica during our trip and La Botella was the best. In all regards - the amenities, programming, staff, location. I used the fitness space a couple of times in my stay - the equipment is minimal but perfectly sufficient and the space is comfortable, has AC, and a great view. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. Being able to relax at the pool and in the hammocks after long days in the sun was a huge plus also. In general the common areas were clean, lively, and inviting. We also did the surf lesson on our first full day in Tamarindo and I 110% recommend. The instructors were lots of fun but more importantly, very patient (I struggled at the beginning LOL). From that point on, we felt even more comfortable with the staff and with the other guests we did the lesson with. Overall, I can’t help but think about how different our trip would’ve been if we’d stayed at another hostel - the staff and volunteers (whether reception, surf, maintenance, all-night security guard, etc.) at la Botella are one of a kid. My sister and I ended up spending a lot of time with them, sharing meals, going out a couple nights, etc. We felt so welcomed and loved the vibe. If I didn’t have another trip booked so soon after our stay there, I honestly might’ve stayed longer. I hope to visit again or connect with the La Botella staff elsewhere around the world :) If you’re coming to Tamarindo, do yourself a favor and stay here!
