I went on the Northumberland yamuna retreat last week and it was just magical! the house and location were beautiful, the company was perfect and the body rolling sessions were brilliant. they worked out loads of knots in my muscles and left me feeling relaxed and flexible.

I just got back from The Yoga and Yamuna retreat in Northumberland. It was fantastic from start to finish! Lovely group of ladies and Nichi is so welcoming. If you haven't done yamuna before it is like a wonderful deep massage that makes you feel grounded and aligned. The accommodation and area was beautiful and the food great too. Would really recommend going on a retreat with Nichi! ♥

My head has been really hazy these last few weeks. No focus and lacking motivation. In an attempt to steer my way through these foggy days I’ve been looking to the Yoga Space for guidance and reassurance. The online classes have been my lighthouse guiding me through. I love this place. I’ve recently attended a beginners Yoga course and Yamuna Body Rolling course. I’m not flexible, have a desk job and suffer from aches and pains. Yamuna body rolling is the perfect practice for me, I’ve bought the balls and I roll daily my back, shoulders and hips, it gives me huge relief - life changing! It can hurt in places when rolling but it’s well worth it. Im now joining the Yoga classes online at home and enjoy them just as much. 5 ⭐️

As a complete yoga novice beginners Vinyasa flow with Steph (8.15pm class)has been amazing. She is such a fantastic teacher and makes everyone feel at ease in her classes. It doesn’t matter if you are new to yoga or have been doing it for years she passes no judgment. I look forward to this class each week, it nourishes my mind and spirit as well as my body. The Yoga space itself is special and provides a sense of calmness and peacefulness and after Steph’s session you leave feeling totally energised. Nothing but positive vibes in this class!

Originally I joined Steph’s Vinyasa flow as a total newbie, with no clue what I was doing 🤷🏼‍♂️, and cautious of what to expect. I can safely say it’s become a weekly highlight and ritual 🧘🏼‍♂️ . Stephanie Bradbury is bloody AMAZINGGG. She’s really supportive, gives personalized feedback and has really helped me to become confident in my practice. She tailors each session for varying abilities, giving variations to ensure everyone is pushing themselves in both a calm and reassuring way (without being pushy). Each session focusing on a different body area, with no two classes the same. If you’re considering vinyasa, I’d definitely recommend the class, you’ll love it and come out feeling refreshed.

Attended Ashtanga Improvers Class yesterday led by Joey and that had to be one of the best yoga sessions I have ever attended. The gradual opening of the body with some challenging exercises allowed me to really make progress on some very difficult positions. Didn't think I could do half what I was able to do yesterday! Thank you very much.

Throughly enjoyed today's yoga session. Only ever had one session a few months ago before today's but it was really relaxed and Angela went through all the steps so everyone was up to speed and felt comfortable. Loved it!

A first and not last visit for me. 2.5 hours of candlelit yoga. Bliss. If I can walk tomorrow it'll be a miracle. Teachers just lovely and extremely patient with me. Done yoga for 15 years and adore it but amazing how a different experience is a whole new challenge. Thank you!

Fantastic yoga classes and workshops in an amazing space in Leeds but also fun day retreats. Nichi is a very experienced and knowledgeable teacher but adapts for all levels of students abilities. Yogaspace online gives fab 24/7 access for any type of yoga you may fancy doing for the price of a class a month.

We attended one of Nichi's yoga retreat weekends at Runswick Bay. Although we had both attended yoga sessions on and off throughout our lives, it was a first extended yoga experience for both of us (myself and a female friend, both in our early 60s). We both thought it was great fun, and a very relaxing break. The area is beautiful, as was the house we stayed in, and we were very lucky (in March) to have warm, sunny weather. Nichi is an excellent host and a talented teacher. She cooks a communal meal on Friday and Saturday evening, and leads highly inclusive yoga sessions. My physical flexibility and yoga skills are now very modest due to age/ mild arthritis, but I still got a lot out of it, and from what I observed, so did those who were younger/ more advanced in their yoga practice. Meditation sitting on the sea wall in the sunshine with the background noise of the waves and sea birds was a high point. There was also a lot of free time to explore the beautiful coastal area/ take a trip to Whitby or Staithes for a meal or shopping trip. But equally, if guests want to stay within the village, there's a nice pub with a great lunch menu. My friend and I are both keen to return next year, and hopefully bring our (adult) daughters with us. Highly recommended.

The most beautiful yoga studio, with the most wonderful teachers in the world! I have always felt welcome here, and have learned so much about becoming stronger, happier and more relaxed through the different styles of classes. I can't recommend it highly enough to anyone wanting to try out yoga for the first time, or to more advanced practitioners - it is a very special place with a supportive community of teachers and students.

Thank you to Nichi for a wonderful yoga and Yamuna ball rolling retreat. For me, there was the right balance of yoga, Yamuna ball rolling and guided relaxation. The venue was perfect and it had a good feeling. It was great to eat lunch in the garden outside the yoga studio surrounded by beautiful views and bird song. Talking of lunch, it was very tasty and there was lots of it! And I have a good appetite, so that's saying something! Additionally, at lunchtime there was plenty of time to mix and mingle and I met some great people. Starting and ending the day with a guided relaxation was perfect. As a beginner to yoga, I enjoyed the yoga practice; it had the right level of challenge for me. I particularly enjoyed the Yamuna ball rolling. It was great to devote a lot of time to it as I found it an extremely pleasurable thing to do. My body thanked me for it! I have sore and tight back muscles and by the end of the day, they were loose and pain-free. I would recommend this retreat to anyone and I am looking forwards to the next one.

A great day of yoga and Yamuna body rolling in a beautiful setting. Yamuna body rolling has been brilliant for me. I can feel a positive difference every time I do the sequences and Nichi is a great teacher.

Been going to the Yoga Space for years, I'm a 54 bloke, yoga keeps me feeling young. The teachers are all very good, and cater for novices as well as advanced yogis. Reasonable prices for the classes, especially if you buy blocks. What are you waiting for? You don't need your own mat as they will provide you with one. Go there...now!

We enjoyed a fabulous weekend in Runswick Bay and as ever Nichi had everything organised. We stayed in delightful accommodation and enjoyed both the yoga and meeting new friends in the most beautiful surroundings. We can't wait for the next retreat.

Nichi is such a talented teacher and adapts the poses to suit all levels, the retreats are great as this gives opportunity to escape be it for a day/weekend, allowing you to immerse yourself in nature and explore various levels of self care, as we are all worth it!!!

The teachers at the Yoga Space are fantastic. You are immersed from the get go and the classes are always a little bit different, so you constantly learn a little bit more every time. They also correct your stance so you're learning yoga properly. Just a note to first time yogis about the teaching style: everywhere most yoga classes are taught through immersion, meaning they go through the salutations relatively quickly and explain as you go. So if you're totally new to yoga, you'll find it confusing and hard to keep up, but don't be self-conscious. The purposes is that you learn through watching, doing and repetition.

Wow, this place is beautiful. Over the weekend I recently got engaged to my partner. We’ve both been previously married so we aren’t doing anything crazy, we plan to get married at the end of the year. We’re getting married in a beautiful Manor House in Bradford, having a wedding party of around 100 guests, mostly family and very close friends. As it’s only a couple of months away I’ve decided to take up gym and yoga to myself into shape, I’ve got the dress in my mind and I want it to look a certain way. I cannot diet due to medical reasons so exercise is the only way for me to get in ship shape. On Monday evening I decided to take up my first gym class which went well, and yoga was suggested to me. So I decided to give this place a whirl, and oh my goodness I’ve never been so calm and relaxed. It is a wonderful place to come with wonderful people, it’s a truly uplifting feeling, of relaxation and utter perfection. I cannot wait to make this a regular thing, as coming here has made me feel so much more healthy. Not only on the outside but also mentally.

World class yoga training for normal people. I began classes here at the most miserable and difficult time of my life and thanks to all the amazing teachers, support and encouragement (and a bit of work on my part) I am changing and growing and feeling content for the first time in many years. A very nice yoga studio, situated in an old chapel. The building is glorious, the teachers are excellent, and I enjoyed all classes I have been to. There is a range of different classes, but most of the classes taught at the Yoga Space are influenced by (or just are) Ashtanga yoga.

Love this yoga studio, i learnt here, practice regularly and have met lots of friendly folk too... Its a special place 🙏... The Yoga is 10/10 and the space is magical the chapel windows trickle beautiful colour through the windows.

I just completed a four week series of Yamuna body rolling classes. I have to say that the benefits from the first week onwards were amazing. I am standing taller, moving and walking more easily and feel more relaxed overall. If you are thinking of trying these don’t hesitate, great class and teacher.
