Namo Buddhaya!
Mahamevnawa Buddhist Monastery is a Theravada Buddhist organisation founded by Ven Kiribathgoda Gnanananda Thero in 1999. There are two monasteries in the UK, one in South East and the other in North West England. Mahamevnawa North England in Widnes is a newly refurbished building. This is the best Buddhist Monastery in the UK to visit, learn and practice Buddhism. It has many facilities with a big Dhamma hall to meditate, a resourceful library with books and CDs in both English and Sinhala languages, many online resources including websites, YouTube channels and live telecast 24/7. The Buddhist monks and lay people are very welcoming. It is a serene place where you find inner peace, relaxation, and mindfulness. You can collect merits and improve good virtues by offerings, donations and involving with day-to-day activities in person. It is a place where you will visit repeatedly as it is all worth being there!
