Vembanad Lake, the longest lake in India and the largest in Kerala, forming a vital part of the Kerala Backwaters. Known for its picturesque landscapes, vibrant ecosystem, and interconnected canals, the lake enhances the serene and healing ambiance of our Ayurveda resort in Alleppey.
The lake plays a crucial role in the socio-economic and cultural fabric of Kerala. It is home to diverse marine life and charming small islands, adding to its allure. Visitors often explore its beauty through houseboat cruises, immersing themselves in the tranquility of the Kerala Backwaters while experiencing authentic Ayurveda in Alleppey
Shanthitheeram is a true heritage resort exemplifying ancient Kerala’s vasthushilpa. Experience traditional architecture combined with modern comforts in the heart of Alleppey.
The Nalukettu House - heritage block - at Shantitheeram features four inner courtyards surrounded by five rooms. Guests can explore the rich architectural details, intricately carved wooden panels, and steep-pitched roofs. The design of the wooden house allows abundant flow of air and a real touch to the nature.
The almost century old wooden structure was refurbished with two things in mind – traditional look and modern comforts. It merges old-world charm with comforts to ensure a perfect stay.
Apart from the heritage accommodation, Shantitheeram also offers 6 rooms with modern architecture, which yet retain the flavour of the heritage property. Whether you're travelling alone or with a group, we have the perfect accommodation for you
We pride ourselves in serving nutritious and delicious pure-vegetarian meals, reflecting the rich culinary traditions of Kerala. Our focus is on sourcing the freshest local fruits and vegetables, ensuring that what we serve is both wholesome and rooted in the region’s natural abundance.
Each meal is carefully crafted under the guidance of our experienced Ayurveda doctor, who also functions as a dietician. This ensures that the meals are tailored to the specific needs of guests undergoing Ayurveda and Panchakarma treatments, aligning with their individual doshas and health goals.
In addition, we offer a wide variety of detoxifying and herbal drinks, designed to nourish and cleanse the body from within. These beverages not only support the detox process but also enhance the overall healing experience. Our community dining area has been thoughtfully designed to encourage a relaxed and peaceful environment where guests can enjoy their meals.
