Having waited for a few years to make the Yoga Teacher Training a reality, I have searched and searched some more to find a teacher that could have been genuine, tradition and self-experience driven, truthful, honest, insightful, knowledgeable, patient, funny, peaceful, human, compassionate, absolutely not an iron-man therefore human and so much more..... I was basically looking for a miracle. Gaurav is the miracle! :) It has been a privilege to be one his students in Thailand 2015 an experience that will remain with me for the rest of my life for sure. I will be the first one on line for a future courses anywhere in the world.

I loved the 200h TT in Thailand and learned a lot about yoga, ayurveda, medicine and myself. I really enjoyed the focus on the inner attitude. Gaurav and Kate showed me that you can be a good yogi without meditating 5h per day ;) During all yoga classes I attend after my teacher training with Gaurav and Kate I can hear their voices saying “Smile and enjoy yourself!”. I try to incorporate a lot of what they taught me or inspired me to learn into my own practice and my daily life. The main thing I´m thinking about at the moment is: When can I come to India and spend more time with Gaurav and Kate? Thank you!!

Yoga teaching training with Ashtak Yoga was the best thing I’ve ever done. I was a little apprehensive at first, I had the usual thoughts (…’I might not be ‘good’ enough at yoga etc) but my concerns were totally unfounded. I felt encouraged, accepted and supported all the way through. I was impressed by the breadth of knowledge Gaurav had from his PHD and his personal knowledge; his passion for yoga (and ghee) was inspiring. There was no question he couldn’t answer thoroughly! Kate was always warm, honest and funny and her philosophy and anatomy classes were a highlight for me. They make a fantastic team :-) I learned so much, and things I never expected to learn about myself and yoga. I now feel confident to lead a class and cant wait to start teaching!

To say that training with Ashtak yoga was a life changing experience sounds trite and cliched but I know of no other words to use. I am not the same person I was before I took this course. It was a big decision to head to India for a month. I am in the middle of mothering four young children and leaving them for several weeks took a lot of delicate planning and heaps of trust that what I would gain would be worth it. It was more than worth it. I could have stayed in the US and taken a course here, but I get the feeling it would be missing all the pieces I was looking for in my practice. Gaurav is a dedicated teacher, his knowledge vast and practical application intuitive and complete. I took this course to increase my understanding of yoga but was apprehensive about teaching because I can’t do 5 minute handstands on a tropical beach. Now I feel more than prepared to use my natural gifts and personality to teach whole yoga, all the limbs. I love asana and love watching dedicated practitioners master olympic grade feats of balance and strength. But I am just as amazed at being a part of a community that enters the internal world of the heart and does the messy, scary, beautiful work of becoming a person who is truly unified with themselves, body and soul.

Ashtak's 200 hour training was by far the best thing I've ever done for myself. I learned so much more than just asanas- we really covered each aspect of living a yogic lifestyle. Kate and Gaurav have such an in depth understanding and they go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable with everything. They created such a supportive atmosphere that made it so easy to learn and get the most out of being there. Couldn't be happier with my experience!!!

My 200 hour YTT was an incredible and beautiful inner journey. I Learned a lot, Gaurav and Kate are amazing teachers I can only recommend them. If you're looking for a school where you can learn all about YOGA not just asanas then you are on the right adress. I loved every second of it and got out healthy, happy, with a lot of knowledge new skills and experience. I will definitively come back for more !

I completed my 200 hour teacher training earlier this year at this school. I have recently started teaching asana and teaching some meditation workshops and I am amazed at my own knowledge and level of understanding - which I learned all through this exceptional teacher training program. The 200 hour teacher training represented an amazing growth opportunity for me. In this school, yoga is not only the learning of Asanas (postures), it’s the learning of an entire lifestyle. I completed my 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training with Ashtak Yoga School in November, 2014. The style is Hatha Yoga and the head teachers Gaurav & Kate were very knowledgable and supportive. The course content included asana, pranayama, meditation, philosophy, anatomy, Ayurveda, and business skills. Even if you do not wish to teach yoga it is a wonderful experience and journey to take.
