Shiva Shakti Yoga School Goa

After spending 2 months here at Shivashakti, I can wholeheartedly say that not only I am leaving an amazing and authentic Yoga school with the best teachers I could have ever wished for, I also feel like leaving family. It has been quite a challenge to choose from the countless Yoga schools online, especially if you have never been to India before. I was looking for a school where I could really dive deep into the origins, traditions and practices of Yoga, which is way more than just Asanas. I got so much more than I could've wished for: The daily practices of Pranayama, Meditations, Philosophy, Anatomy, Asanas and even everyday classes of Ayurveda held by Dr.Grishma Dessai (yes, you can even study Ayurvedic medicine in this wonderful country) made me feel confident to go home and start my own journey of sharing and teaching. After finishing my 200h YTT in January, I realized how valuable this place was also for my personal development, so I took the chance to extend my stay and do the 200h Tantra course, which was one more life changing gift I am taking with me from here. From the first message I wrote back home, I felt absolutely safe and cared for and as I arrived in India, everything was sorted out and all my worries were wiped away. Waking up everyday to the sound of the ocean, which is only a few steps away from the comfortable huts, having three delicious meals a day, which are perfectly suited especially for the demanding daily practices, are just a few of all the things I enjoyed here. The best part for me was feeling that each end every teacher was absolutely authentic, being born and living with the traditions they teach by heart and truly caring for the development of their students. Also, I would like to mention that, even though there seems to be some doubt about traveling to India nowadays due to the Corona virus, I can confidently say that there is absolutely no need to worry about that here and I felt very safe during all my stay. (In whole India, there have been only three confirmed cases which are fully recovered by now) So, if you are ready to learn, grow and have an unforgettable time, you found the right place to be and I will definitely come back very soon!
