Like all even I have been working from home this pandemic, and I was looking for a yoga retreat away. Traveling to a different part of the country didnt make sense but I then found SWAN, and they did weekend retreats just perfect for the working lot. I got to learn and practice not just about the yoga asanas and kriyas at the ashram but got an exposure to authentic indic sciences and touched base with the vedas as well. The teachers were very thorough and I personally enjoyed the discussions, there was so much of knowledge to take in. The ashram was just a whole another dimension for me. The location of this place and set up makes you forget the concrete jungles and helps you connect with nature and earth again. The food and hospitality was great, listening to Krishna Das in the lounge would really uplift my spirits. The highlight for me was participating in the evening havans, not sure if it was the chanting, fire wash or just the energy of the place it really helped to take away all the stress. I could only wish to spend here more time.

The best 7 days of my life let me introduce myself, I am a typical 9 to 5 corporate IT guy who lives in Bangalore. I usually come to goa with friends but this time I was looking for something different. I was too stressed due to Covid and work for home thing. I wanted to go to a quiet place and then through internet I found this beautiful place swan yoga retreat in goa. i checked the reviews and pictures and then I decided to give it a try. I had never done yoga or any spiritual kind of thing before. So when I reached there it was evening and like really quiet. I was given a detailed introduction about the place and a nice warm herbal tea (loved the flavour) and a tour later. The place is like a small organised eco village. I booked a cottage and it is made in an ashram style what they show on tv. �I had classes from the next morning so I had my dinner and dozed off real fast. I did my first Meditation of my life and asana in the morning. Honestly my body is stiff and I sucked at asana but now after a week its better. The Yoga philosophy classes were amazing, I am surprised that how little we know about our own culture. So after a week long Yoga routine and activities, My whole idea of our motherland and tradition changed. I am now able to relate and connect to things in a better way. I think young people like us need to know all this teaching what they teach here. An ashram where you get lots of learning and delicious healthy vegetarian food with havan and kirtan. A holiday one must go to. Thank you so much.

We recently guested at this charming, rustic retreat and had a fabulous time. We learned about many aspects of yoga and practised many of them under the guidance of their knowledgable staff. It was a warm communal experience as people from all over the world mingled and compared their experiences doing meditation, Asana yoga (the classic postures) and Ayurvedic treatments. The food, healthy vegetarian Indian options, was plentiful and delicious. And there were many special treats and surprises throughout the week. If you are interested in a true yoga experience, this is nestled-in-the jungle retreat may be right for you. If you’re looking for Instagram yoga, alcohol and a party, then definitely choose a different place.Namaste!

I am really glad to have stayed on two different occasions at swan and I immensely got benefitted. the first time I came for two week yoga intensive and second time for a combination of yoga and ayurveda program. the whole yoga program is very focussed covering all aspects of yoga includung asana, pranayam, meditation, yoga nidra, yoga philosophy, kriya, tratak, havan, bhajan kirtan and karma yoga. The ayurveda section is traditional and authentic. all the staff are very friendly and food is delicious. they are also doing a lot of charity work and yoga teaching to the under privilege through their foundation. my best wishes to swan.

A unique yoga ashram where you learn not only in the yoga hall but outside the yoga hall as well talking to the yoga gurus Gyanmitra Ji or Shivendra Ji with who you can talk on any subject, ancient or modern, traditional or unconventional, yoga or food, music or cinema, dogs or nature, the list is endless. A must visit to this very friendly ashram.

I can't recommend enough Swan. The experience they gave was beyond any expectations I could have had. I was looking for a little guide and you guys gave me an entire path to follow, making me understand the whole extension of what a spiritual practice is. Whether you are looking for a true experience with Yoga or want to go even deeper into Tantra and Veda knowledge and practice, Swan is your place. Plain and simple.

I stayed in Swan on two occasions - in January 2018 and May 2019. I totally love the place and their drive to spread the message and teachings of Yoga. I am sure each time I visit Goa, Swan will be a must visit & stay for me. It's set on the edge of the forest and is in complete harmony with nature, inspite of being very centrally located. All the popular beaches of North Goa are within 15-30 minutes scooter rides away. Inside Swan, it is absolutely calm and silent most of the day. The classes and various sessions are conducted professionally and on schedule. The wholesome vegetarian food served at Swan is tasty and nutritious and as good as home cooked food. On both my visits, I stayed in the cottages (two single beds) with attached bath. These bamboo and wood cottages are simple but very functional. The common areas and yogashalas are my favorite spots at Swan, and one can lounge around them the whole day, meet other guests and enjoy the nature around. When no one is around, one hears only the rustle bustle of trees and dried leaves and the chirping of insects and birds. On Saturday's and Sunday's ji they host a Homum prayer ceremony in the evenings and is open for all. Apart from the wonderful and open minded people who run the place the draw of the place is its simple, yet harmonius design that respects the nature it's part. Exactly how a Yoga retreat should be. It's not a five star retreat if that's what you are looking for. But the experience is five star.

Staying at SWAN Yoga was an all around amazing experience! Learning about the yogic lifestyle was truly eye opening! Yoga is such a deep practice that is often not translated well in the West, SWAN seeks to teach the traditional ways of a yogi. � The Ayurvedic doctor and treatments were very helpful for detoxification and balancing of the body. I highly recommend SWAN!

My week at Swan was an amazing experience. I reconnected to myself and will keep on going this journey with more awareness to myself and the world. Great people, great environment. Thank you.

Swan was just lovely. Wonderful location, excellent program, great people and darn the food was so good. It's wholly shifted my understanding and experience of yoga and good vegetarian food!

It was by far the best experience I have had in regards to Yoga. The knowledge of the staff was beyond expectation. The food was amazing, rooms were very clean, comfortable and we always felt safe. If you need to get to the town or beach they will book you safe and respectful taxi drivers. They have a daily schedule of activities to participate in so you never feel bored, you can even book one of many massages to choose from. When my wife and I come back to India this Yoga retreat will definitely be on our list of things to do.

I feel more energetic and positive after one week stay in Swan. The teachers and staff helped us carefully to have a relaxing time. I already miss the jungle where tasty and healthy food was waiting!

Everything about this place is wonderful. You feel it the minute you walk through the gate. Super calm vibe in a gorgeous garden setting. Kind, friendly people. Deeeeeelicious meals prepared in a spotless kitchen. Comfy bungalows. Don't miss out on the Ayurvedic treatments! Yoga, for me, is hard because I'm a beginner. But no problem if you don't know much about it. Patient guides talk you through the stretches, and there's no pressure to do more than you're ready for. You'll learn a lot about yoga philosophy, too. It's so much more than just Asana. Oh, and the Fire Ceremony! That was one of the highlights of my week. Really loved this place and looking forward to going back some day.

Forget everything you thought you knew about yoga; these guys really know what they are talking about. They do things their own way and they do it perfectly.
