Sammy Fitness Studio came into existence in 2015 and it was founded by Sanatan Vinod. He started the research on different aspects of functional training and crossfit while studying diploma courses in Sports Science and Sports Psychology. After going through a series of injuries while playing professional cricket, which halted his career, Sanatan decided to start a fitness studio where everyone will get the right information about ‘functional movements’ and try to prevent injuries while improving fitness levels. As his interest grew in the subject, Sanatan decided to study further. In 2019, he went to Australia to study a Strength and Conditioning level 2 course. Also, after completing a Yoga Teacher Training (RYS200) from Australia, Sanatan is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Yoga from Kalidas University.
Over the period of 7 years, Sanatan was able to work with some elite athletes. During early days, he conducted functional training sessions for Harmanpreet Kaur(India Women’s Captain), Kavita Patil(Indian Railways Player), Harshad Khadiwale(Maharashtra Ranji Player), Harshal Pathak(Head Coach Thailand Women’s Team). Later on, as Sammy Fitness Studio became a prominent fitness studio in Pune, Sanatan got opportunities to work with more athletes such as, Kedar Jadhav(India Player), Samad Fallah(Maharashtra Ranji Player), Surendra Bhave Sir(BCCI Selector during 2011 World Cup), Anuja Patil(All-Rounder Indian Women’s Team), Akshay Darekar(India-A), Ganesh Gaikwad(Maharashtra Ranji Player), Nikhil Paradkar(Maharashtra U-25 Head Coach) and many more.
At Sammy’s we believe in a mantra “The moment you stop learning, you stop growing” and as the world around us moves so fast, we need to keep up with the pace. Hence, the workouts conducted in the studio are always based on scientific reasoning and add a lot of variety to your daily schedule which makes sure different parts of your body start functioning better along with increasing your fitness levels.
