Coconut Bay Beach Resort

To truly relax and find peace, there is likely no better place in the world than the exquisitely beautiful Coconut Bay Beach Resort. The atmosphere, the rooms, the location, all are just perfect. It was a joy to stay there.

l have recently returned from Kovalam, some 25 minuets from coconut bay, and was advised that the area is being developed for a deep water port, and nothing now exists of the bay as it was. l must add that due to this l did not make a visit, so its only something that l was told, but l do know that a deep water port in the area is under way. maybe a call to the hotel first would get more information, it was such a beautiful bay.

My daughters and I stayed here for 7 days over Christmas and can't rate it highly enough. The staff in the hotel and the ayervedic centre were brilliant and absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them. It was my third stay but the first for my daughters who can't wait to return. There was some work going on at the harbour but had very little impact on our peace and tranquility. The best way to spend Christmas that I can think of

Wonderful nature, very friendly service, nice and comfortable, clean rooms; delicious ayurvedic food, coconuts whenever you want, lots of fruits, fruitjuices, very efficient ayurveda doctors and therapists.

Coconut Bay is a world-class Auyrvedic resort. The doctors and theraphy staff are highly trained and experienced. The facility is well maintained and spotlessly clean. The resort staff are naturally friendly and do all they can to ensure the needs of their guests are met. Housekeeping especially are very creative with the towel 'sculptures' they create most days on your bed. The early morning yoga and meditation classes are conducted by a very experienced yogi. The best part is the food - it's fantastic! We never tired of the beautiful South Indian vegetarian meals or the excellent juices and seemingly never ending coconuts. The location is beautiful. Right on the beach and nestled among the coconut trees. Coconut Bay is just south of Trivandrum. Takes about 45 mins. Trivandrum has an international airport and the resort provides a pick-up service. Just a minor caution. This is not a resort for a family holiday. Also although the beach is great the ocean is rough during the monsoon season.

This is a Ayurveda Treatment Resort, so obviously not fun for kids. The location is fantastic and comes with a private beach. No clubs and alcohol served here, so good to simply relax and reflect on whatever you wish to. Cost of stay and food and all the services provided are extremely reasonable by international standard of the quality you will receive. I highly recommend this resort.

Amazing location, amazing view i can say it is awesome to visit in december and janyary and there is one nice showroom as well namely Pearl Art Gallery. Resort is Awesome in every way and people are so friendly and so nice

This is an historic review from 2010, but a very vivid memory! The hotel we had been recommended in Kovalam turned out to be a complete disaster, even to battle-hardened travellers like us. Thank goodness for an internet cafe on the seafront, where we learned about Coconut Bay, jumped into a cab and checked it out. They had one cabin free, just by the pool above the beach, which we promptly booked and went back to get our kit. What a relief, being delivered from hell to heaven! We spent an idyllic four days on the beach and by the pool, looked after by the wonderful staff and enjoying the fruits of the ocean in the open air dining room. In our haste for salvation I had failed to notice that the resort was dry, but bless them they discreetly sent out for what we considered to be a relatively small consignment of beer and wine - they clearly considered us to be complete alcoholics, but viewed us thereafter with tolerant amusement. We had also failed to clock that this was an ayuvedic centre. Being new to India this was a new one on us. I decided to pass on the colonic irrigation, and we were fascinated by the peaceful parade of serene ladies from all over the world drifting past in their orange robes, looking much the better for their recent experiences! We always recall this trip with enormous affection for the welcome, the setting and above all the peace of Coconut Bay.

My fiancee and I stayed in this resort in August, which is considered to be off-season and, with most of the other guests being interested only in yoga & ayurveda treatments, we practically had the entire beach to ourselves. It was as if we had our own little beach house, bordering our own private beach, which was a pretty amazing experience and worth much more than whatever you pay. Friendliness and courtesy of the entire staff is beyond words. Seriously, singling anyone out would be unfair. Eloquent and helpful receptionists, ready to answer all of your questions; restaurant staff, doing anything in their power to please you; doctors, nurses, cleaners, security - all of them will work really hard to make your stay a memorable one. If you're not doing ayurveda, make sure you visit the restaurant as often as possible. Eat, and eat a lot, and make sure you remember it, as they'll deliver the finest of Indian cuisine. Villas are spacious and clean, with fans, AC, large, comfy beds, decent bathrooms, TVs with channels in English. Visiting Kovalam or Thiruvananthapuram from the resort is a breeze, and it will cost you no more than several hundreds rupees for the ride and the driver's wait. I can wholeheartedly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a beautiful beach haven in Kerala.

This Place ist something else - from the arrivel to the departure. 150 stuff-people taking care of 25 patients in the most silent and discreet way. Wonderful, big bungalows with a big terasse make you feel like your in heaven and you never wanna leave this place again. I was very lucky to have the best treatment done by lovely SRI DEVI - this woman has magic hands and a golden heart. Not to forget the doctors, who are anytime around for your needs - the great, great restaurant, with his faboulos MANAGER and waiters, who will read every wish from your eyes, the most friendly and charming receptioncrew, who will make everything possible for you - even the impossibel!!! The cleaning-crew, always singing and smiling - making the most far-out towel-decos on your bed every day, besides cleaning the floors and room on a very high standard. The wonderful garden, with the sensationell flowers growing. When I arrived this place I didtn want to leave anywhere for 3 weeks, because nothing compears to Coconut Bay Beach Resort and his wonderful people there. I will be deffinitlly back.
