"It's really a miracle and still can't believe totally in the magic created by dear Dr.Sharun with his ayurveda Herbal medicines. I was diagnosed with a cyst in my cervix six months ago and advised to go for a surgery. Fortunately I found doctor sharun from one of my friend recommendation and met him in last December. We are a couple in our 40s/50s and had a really good experience at Thanal Ayurveda Home in Varkala. We pre-booked a 3 day package which was excellent value. Yes you can find cheaper places but we felt we experienced a very authentic and experienced practice run by Dr Sharun. We had twice daily treatments, morning and evening and our personalised staff giving the treatments were excellent. The practice is a little chaotic but so is all of India! Some more detailed explanation of precisely how the treatments would work for us both given our respective Doshas would have been welcomed and appreciated. We highly recommend Thanal to anyone with a true interest in Ayurveda and the healing it provides.

I have experienced many ayurvedic treatments and therapists in different places, so I can tell that these doctors, treatments and massages were on a very high level. Plus they provided constant personal attention and made sure to track my health progress, so I felt very well taken care of. Thanal Ayurveda Home situated in the most beautiful location in Varkala, very near to the beach. My super clean little expensive (for me) room was worth every penny! Room was nicely sized, very comfortable. I had big balcony and an amazing ocean view. I was lulled to sleep every night by the pounding surf. Being a true Sun fan, I decided that I would watch (for two weeks) every single starts and ends of Day. Sunrise and sunset is always unique and beautiful, and absolutely free! I can highly recommend this place for having an ayurveda treatment. Besides the fact that every single person who's working in this place is such a lovely human being, it's a wonderful place to heal from diseases or just restore from stress and gain new power. Dr. Sharan and his staff were very professional, kind and patient with me. As a semi retired registered nurse I had so many questions and they were all answered to my satisfaction. The facility is clean, the food was awesome and my treatments were individualized to my condition. I will be back and am excited to encorporate what I’ve learned.
