Padang Padang Surf Camp has always been there, and it was and will remain forever, the property of the Gods who live within the temples.
The Balinese Hindu staff serve the Gods of the surf camp, and the whole team (multi-faith equal opportunities company) are there to serve the guests of PPSC, who come to Bali to surf in perfect conditions while enjoying such a rich culture.
The concept of making a place where surfers from all over the world could meet up and totally immerse themselves in surfing was born in the freezing Northern Hemisphere in the 1970s.
The dream was to find a place where the water was always warm, you could surf every day, and everything was perfect. This dreamy surfer didn’t explore the world looking for the place, he found it by accident in 2005, realised it was a surfers paradise and decided that Padang Padang was the spot.
The founder did not come here with a business plan, marketing concept or anything else and decided on the mission statement over a sunset beer in 2005
It is the simplicity, and respect for local cultures and atmosphere that make Padang Padang Surf Camp unique.
The management are real surfers and the surfing team are world-class. There are many surf camps in Bali but only one has remained true to its heritage, and really understands the true meaning of ceremony and culture.
The most important aspect of anyone’s visit is the ceremony and you will not understand the true meaning of a ceremony by reading about it in a guide book. Watching a ceremony means you are on the outside looking outwards. Even attending a ceremony has no meaning, unless you understand what is the true meaning of the ceremony.
Ceremony in Bali is where religion, culture and tradition all come together. It dictates the life pattern and cycle for all Balinese and is very complicated to understand.

Surf
Beach, river and mountain view villa located directly in front of the peak at Balian which is one of the most consistent surf breaks in Bali. Newly built to very high specifications this is a luxury 3 bedroom surf villa and has the very best location in Balian with very easy access to the surf break. In addition to the 3 bedroom luxury villa, there is a 1 bedroom guest house giving a total of 4 bedrooms which can comfortably accommodate 8 people. To rent both houses costs £295/night and gives you perfect access to the surf break and river. This is the best accommodation in Balian and has excellent access to the surfing beach and balian river.
Do you want a comfortable, secure surf villa in bali set in a quiet location near the beach? We are 20 metres walking distance from the super consistent A frame peak of Balian. This wave breaks both left and right and offers fun long rides. 100 metres up the beach, on the other side of the river, there is an excellent right hander that is always smaller than the A frame peak. The inside left is a fun intermediate wave and sheltered from the trade winds. Medewi is a 20 metre drive away and offers soft mellow waves with very long rides. There are also a few beach breaks nearby.
Within a walled 2,000M2 garden we have a luxury 3 bedroom villa and 1 bedroom guest house. Both houses have excellent beach, river and mountain views. Easy walking distance to the famous Balian surf break which is right in front of the 3 bedroom villa. Balian has some excellent restaurants and is a renowned yoga location. We have a massage area with beautiful sea views and an excellent masseuse available onsite.
Upstairs the main villa has a master bedroom with sea and river views and a TV/lounge room with surround sound system, which has great view of the river and mountains. Downstairs one of the bedrooms looks directly at the beach and river, while the other bedroom has views of the swimming pool. There is a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and lounge downstairs which has excellent sea and river views.
The guest house also has sea and river views and is located directly in front of the beautiful balian river. The guest house is finished to the same exacting standards as the main villa and can be rented seperately or with the main villa. Both houses offer excellent accommodation finished to a very high standard.
Facilities include a 10 metre * 4 metre swimming pool and outside cocktail bar. Wifi, massage area, surfboard rental.
All 4 Bedrooms are ensuite with hot water and and air conditioned. 60" tv with surround sound system.
Balian is possibly the most consistent surf break in Bali and is perfect for intermediate surfers as breaks left and right quite softly. Balian is famous for yoga and we can arrange both surf lessons and yoga classes. Our Balian Beach Villa is operated independently of the Bali Surf Camp which is located in Padang Padang
