I just complete the 200hrs Yoga Teacher Training with Emily and it was just amazing. The whole group of 30 people connected deeply and we learned from a vary of great teachers. It doesn’t matter if you plan to teach or just do this training for yourself, it was an eye opening experience because we learned much about ourselves as well as all areas of yoga. During the 28 days we gained a deep understanding of anatomy, Ayurveda and yoga philosophy in our courses and had a ongoing asana, meditation and pranayama and mantra practice. It was so great, I wish I could do it again!

I attended the High Vibe YTT in July 2016, it was a four-week refreshing and inspiring moment. The High Vibe team (Emily, Bess and Mei Lai) beautifully organised and conducted the sessions. Furthermore, prominent figures, Mark Holzman, Carlos Pomeda and Rachel Ellerly, highly valued within yoga world taught classes of yoga/ayurveda, yoga philosophy and anatomy respectively. This gave a priceless added value to the course, it provided so much context and content to an already rich programme. I would totally recommend the training to those wanted to learn more than asanas, ready to challenge themselves, open their heart, share their emotions, develop awareness and start seeing the glass half full… Be prepared to laugh, cry, scream, love, sing, fall, dance, breath, yield, prop, collapse and most importantly grow while enjoying every single moment. A lot of food for thought.

I would recommend High Vibe Yoga to anyone that has been practicing yoga and wants to rediscover its power and beauty. Come as you are and where you are in your practice and learn to fill the gaps that are present in your yoga. You will learn a tone of amazing information in such a safe and beautiful space. You will build friendships meant to last a life time. I am writing this while a fellow High Vibe yogi friend is sleeping on my couch in Singapore. Learning about yourself is the most powerful part of the teacher training, I introduced myself at the beginning of class saying that I don’t want to teach to groups. One month later I feel totally confident to teach a class. In fact I followed Emily’s advice and I printed 300 yoga posters placed them in everyone’s mail box at my building and I’m looking forward to teaching my first class. You will gain the confidence to be a yoga Teacher and that’s a big deal.

Emily is a gifted person who knows how to tune in with the needs of a group of people being on a journey to make a transition in their lives. Not only does she have an extensive collection of fine and knowledgeable co-teachers, she also schedules them on the right time in the course, so the learning curve stays active all throughout the month, without it becoming to much to take in. The way in which the teachings are handed over are compassionate, there is always space for those suffering from personal discomfort. Emily does not teach you to only do the asanas. Instead she makes you aware of the whole picture that it takes to be a yoga teacher. Where others focus on demonstrating the poses, Emily emphasizes the verbal qualities of a teacher. This has definitely taught me to more observant and to verbally encourage people how to adjust their poses. The ambiance that was created in a group of 28 people was warm and family like. The humbleness and authentic honesty that Emily dares to show, allows participants to follow her example. The well organized brunch every morning as well as other surprise activities, surely contributed to the feeling that this training was worth it’s money.

The High Vibe retreat was life changing. I went to Bali hoping to relax, de-stress and do some yoga. While that was achieved, the retreat offered soooo much more. I had so many walls built to keep people away, thinking I was strong because no one could hurt me. In the retreat, I learnt that real strength is about having the courage to let people in. It was a inspirational week in Ubud with Emily, Bex, Ashley, Cathy, Philip and others. A competent, loving and creative group of friends who came together with the purpose of creating an experience of diverse yoga styles meditations and more.. Emily and Bex are excellent teachers and helped us to get into the various positions (asanas) and offered us advice for our personal aches and pains. The location of Ubud, the full moon, the energy, the enjoyment of meeting new people, the philosophy talks and the dance session with Cathy and last but not least the outstanding cuisine and workshops of Ashley and her helper Putu are unforgettable. The acro yoga was indeed exciting! I felt safe and cared for in a lovely and comfortable setting. This high vibe yoga retreat has a special charm. The knowledge and loving kindness of Emily, Bex and Ashley were beyond expectation. An experience which I will be likely to repeat and highly recommend to others. To conclude I would say: High Vibe Yoga is really a Labour of Love!

I arrived a middle-aged, fairly inflexible guy, dragging my hidden wagon of baggage behind me. I had full intentions of orbiting the experience like an ethnographer with a notebook, gathering ideas, analyzing and returning to report. What I didn’t expect was deep personal transformation, feeling loved, and a notebook full of personal resolutions that will change my life and the lives of my students forever. I just quit my job right before this retreat. I needed something to clean my head and to clear my vision. I had so many anxieties in my mind about future, relationship and being a mother and it really bothered me. After the retreat I found out that it’s really hard to be a different person. I ‘m still me. I still have many anxieties and still have difficulties with relationships but the difference is that I know myself better now. I become to know something about myself I didn’t even expect from me. I was still struggling with my past that I thought that I had overcome. Big advance for me. Thank you so much.
