I undertook the PADI Open Water course with Sail Rock Divers and had a great experience. Their staff are all very friendly and really professional. My instructor, Ryan was superb throughout: very patient with me during the section in the pool and both knowledgable and passionate about diving, which made the experience that much more rewarding. As I said, he was really professional, which meant that we got through the PADI-required skill exercises efficiently so we could enjoy as much of the diving as possible. For the first open water dives, we went out on Sail Rock’s boat in Maehaad Bay, which is a great spot to learn to dive as the water is very clear and it has a sandy floor but there are still a huge number of fish to see, so you feel that you have had a proper dive at the same time as doing the technical skills you need to obtain the PADI accreditation. The boat itself was excellent with lots of open, shaded spots to relax between dives, great food and lots of water and coffee etc. The rest of the staff on the boat were really friendly and helpful throughout. On the third day, we went to Sail Rock, which I was told was one of the best dive spots in all of Thailand and it didn’t disappoint. We finished the PADI exercises on the first dive and were then able to explore the dive site for the rest of the dive and the second dive, which was incredible as it has a multitude of different fish to see. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with Sail Rock Divers and would recommend them to anyone either wanting to undertake a PADI course, or just to go on a recreational dive.

What an incredible team at Sail rock divers! I did my PADI advanced open water course with David R. as my Dive instructor, and I am more than happy with my decision. First of all, the equipment and the whole dive centre is very well maintained with the staff being very warm and welcoming. David R. is an awesome and fun dive instructor with a lot of experience, who gave me a lot of useful tips and tricks. He even speakes 4 languages fluently, making it easy for students to properly understand everything. The course itself was structured exactly to my needs, and everybody made sure that the course and all the dives were well organised. Additionally the own pool with 3meter depth was perfect for my girlfriend who took the open water course at the same time. All in all I can highly recommend this dive center if you want a safe and well organised dive/course with fun people.

I'm a picky person, to say the least, so after reviewing almost all the dive schools on Koh Phangan I finally found my match in Sail Rock Divers. The website is informative and easy to use, the staff are friendly, helpful and on top of all the nitty gritty to make the difficult learning experience that much easier for you. My instructor for the PADI Open Water Diver course, David R., kept a fantastic sense of humour and a difficult amount of patience with me (thank you Dave!) I couldn't have asked for a better experience and will be back there for another course soon! ❤️😁

I cannot stress enough the absolute pleasure it has been to obtain my certifications with this shop. From simply just fun dives while only under my advanced cert the Energy, Commitment and Professionalism and laughs overall were off the charts since day one. Through my experiences with the Fun Dives with Alex, Pete, Dave, Raoni. I felt more than comfortable to tackle not only my Rescue Diving Course with Pete ( One of the best in business IMO). But to move on under his instruction to take the leap and jump right into my Dive Master Certification. It was quite a journey from start to finish, But i enjoyed every step of the way. The training ,insight and knowledge I received from Pete and the other instructors vastly improved the confidence in my skillset. And more importantly they had the uncanny ability to make you feel part of the family it was an unforgettable experience to say the least. I will definitely return for my Instructor Certification. There isn't any other shop I'd rather complete that with than SRD! Highly recommend for all that visit the lovely Island of Koh Phangan!

I booked Sail Rock Divers for a fun dive and was pretty scared to be diving again as it had been a while. Dave my dive instructor was absolutely wonderful. He ran me through everything very articulately, he asked and checked how I was doing every step of the way. I felt safe, in control and had so much fun I ended up booking my Advanced course with him! Dave’s also very cool to hang out with on the 1h long ride to the diving spot, good banter. The sea life at Sail Rock is extremely rich, I went there several times and never got bored of it. Just make sure that the visibility is good enough. Enjoy!

I recently did my open water and advanced course with sail rock divers and it was amazing. I did my course with my instructor David, and i couldn't ask for better. Clear in his words, explains things simply, and the best sense of humor. So overall i had a great experience, thank you!

I was recently in Koh Phangan to do my Advanced PADI course after many years of waiting. The team at Sail Rock were fantastic in helping coordinate when I could go (not easy during COVID) and making things smooth all the way around. I learned a lot from Dave, an excellent instructor and I think I really progressed my skills during my dives with him. I would definitely recommend this company if you are headed to the island for diving and certainly would love to dive with Dave again.

Having dived twice- with both my partner and my friends; I can say with absolute confidence and sincerity that Sail Rock Divers Resort offer outstanding days out for all types of group, and all levels of diver. Our instructors were Dave, Lotte and Ryan. All were incredibly at ease in creating the genuinely calming atmosphere needed to be able to truly to enjoy scuba diving. My new diving local!

Not a very pleasant experience, my girlfriend and I had a dive with Peter. He was pretty unhelpful, and had a terrible attitude, being quite inexperienced, we didn't know how to assemble the equipment and he was not being every helpful just giving some quick unclear indications and walking away. When we finished, he didn't even take a look at it and said that it was ok. It looked like he was in a hurry or something like that. We are not experienced divers, and he kept disappearing when we were underwater leaving us alone and confused. I don't think we will be coming back.

My husband and I took a discover dive with Raoni. She was fantastic - she made us feel safe and comfortable, and was very sympathetic whenever I freaked out! Sail rock was a beautiful diving site and it was a magical first time diving experience for both us.
