The experience was far beyond what I expected. I have gained so much useful knowledge that can transform my lifestyle to a healthier and more focused standard back in the city life. More importantly, through practice and conversing with the teachers, staff, and guests it grew my appreciation and understanding on self-cultivation significantly. There’s so much to say here, but what I recommend is for anyone who’s visiting to abandon any preconceived notions or expectations they bring, and open yourself to the experience and what these amazing teachers have to offer. It’s a simple island, and the lessons will feel repetitive for the modern distracted mind; but it’s through these simplicity and repetitions that you start recognizing the subtleties in the vastness that is there.

It was my first yoga retreat, even though I have been practicing yoga in the past five years, and it was the first yoga retreat for my husband as well, and second time practicing yoga for him. We both loved it, I learned a lot from the teachers, and my husband finally fell in love with yoga (I have been trying to get him into it for a while). Ronnie and her husband Dimitry were awesome with the yoga classes and their sound healing classes as well. Every teacher was unique and taught us something different. Breakfast was delicious every day. The receptionists were very helpful and friendly, as well as the restaurant staff. We left the lodge very rested, happy and satisfied! We are definitely going to come back some day!

This place is amazing. The teachers are all highly skilled, and I enjoyed the fact that they have quite different styles. The staff are all so kind and helpful. I had a health scare while I was there, and they went out of their way to help me (turned out fine by the way). Truly a paradise.

Fantastic place for a yoga retreat (or yoga course/training) and to be back in nature. The team at Island yoga from the yoga teachers, facilities, staff and team are beautiful souls & go above and beyond to look after you. Love the island of Koh Yao Noi as well, quiet and peaceful. Would definitely go back!

You definitely get value for money with a vegetarian buffet breakfast daily, tai chi first thing in the morning and up to 4 hours of yoga and meditation every day. The staff at Island Yoga are friendly and kind and the yoga instructors, Roni and Dimitri are patient, insightful and very talented at their craft and at teaching it. They are very educational and the other personal therapies they offer are extremely enriching. The island is lovely to explore different beaches and restaurants and amazing scenery and Island Yoga can help with all of that. An unforgettable experience indeed and highly recommended. Met the most amazing people there as well!

I had an amazing 7 days over the Christmas period. Tai Chi and Chi Gong on the beach to see the sun rise, yoga classes twice daily with such a variety of high class teachers. I met and made friends with wonderful new people. A truly awesome experience. The Island itself has great beaches and restaurants; great for exploring. Peaceful and quiet.
