I felt comfortable here and was able to ask the instructor and another staff member about an issue regarding an injury and was given supportive and helpful feedback as well as suggestions for modifications during class. I like that the studio is smaller as I personally do not feel relaxed in larger class environments. So happy to have found it. Thank you.

Small class sizes, clean facilities. I also love the tea time at the end - it makes the experience way more personal and really allows you to get to know other students and the instructors. I've never experienced that before at a yoga studio and I love it!

I appreciate the community that Ella and her team have built! I've lived in the neighborhood for 3 years now, and I absolutely love coming to Jai Yoga. It's an all-inclusive place and I never feel discouraged to participate no matter how my level of yoga compares to my peer. I would recommend to anyone! The only downside is that individual classes are on the more expensive end.

I would recommend you to my friends, but your studio is not for me. I feel that its a very relaxing experience, but I like more intense yoga classes. I like to push my limits with the flexibility and also do things to get my heart rate up. I go to Yoga to the People even though you are closer to my apartment.

The studio was warm, welcoming, and clean. Lillian hosted the space and led class in a way that made me feel so supported and taken care of, and gave clear and thoughtful instruction but also allowed me to give myself what I needed for the class. The invitation to stay for tea after before going back out into the cold was also so generous. Lovely place and lovely teacher, I'll be back! Thank you!

The atmosphere of the studio is very welcoming and relaxing. It is such a pleasure to work through my practice there and enjoy a cup of tea and talk with the teachers and fellow members after a class. Thatchers are all very approachable and friendly. Every class I have attended, with every teacher has been a joy and each teacher brings something new to the table.

the vibe was right on for what i like in terms of music, size, cleanliness, and difficulty. i'm not trying to become america's next big core-strength success story over here, ya dig? the people were nice and it was a session that challenged without overwhelming. the only reason it isn't a 10/10 is because i think $15 is a little steep for a single yoga class. $10 and i'd probably come back relatively regularly.

The instructor was calm and clear, and the class was well paced. There was plenty of opportunity to take a more advanced pose when one so chooses. I enjoyed the meditation after class as well.

I love the ambiance and the neighborhood feel. The instructors are really nice and they explain the details of the poses really well so I feel like I'm doing it correctly, not just going through the motions. I really like the emphasis on mindfulness and well being too :)

Ella was an amazing teacher - she challenged me in new poses while also being completely relatable. I felt as ease the entire time, even in a new place, and could tell it was a fully welcoming and nonjudgmental environment from the get-go. The space itself is beautiful also!

Good space. Mulitple good teachers. Location. Variety of times you can take class in a day. I like that there is usually a theme every month and that most teachers are pretty good at conveying the theme and giving the students something intelligent and interesting to reflect on.

The studio is the perfect size, is kept clean. The classes are a good length. I especially love Ella, Leah S, Miriam, Erin Ward, Erin Brownell, Gayle and Nicole's classes. I like when teachers give adjustments, which they almost always do, especially if a class is on the smaller side. I like that almost every class has music, which helps me to focus. I love the monthly themes and appreciate when teachers work the themes into classes. After a class at Jai I feel like I've done something good for my body and my mind, my mood improves, and I am inspired to keep coming to class to maintain that energy throughout the week. I feel totally at home at Jai!

Jai is very welcoming and relaxing. The classes are approachable for students of all levels. I love that the instructors gently help reach positions. They also use calming oils during shavasana that really allow you to decompress. Another great aspect of Jai is the sense of community it has. Although I was brand new, it was great to meet and talk to other students over hot tea at the end of class.

The teachers are clearly experienced and the classes are varied but well structured. I like that there is a strong focus on the meditational aspect of practice and the use of props is encouraged. The studio is obviously well cared for and the invitation to tea at the end of class is really lovely and invites opportunity for further learning and connection with teachers and other students. The equipment is in good shape and the space is clean and sunny. I love that students are asked to clean the rental mats at the end of each class.

I've only been to 2 instructors so far, but have really enjoyed all the classes. Staff is extremely friendly and inviting, the the classes are just flat out really good- a nice balance of challenge and relaxation. Came here through a recommendation of a friend who started because of a recommendation and I've already been recommending, haha, you all are doing something right :)

Very welcoming. Sometimes " spiritual" businesses come off as standoffish or snooty but jai and the people there are very welcoming and warm. Every teacher I've had has been great there, too- really paying attention to practitioners and staying present! Also, the space is always looks beautiful and clean. :)

Yesterday, January 3, was my first class at Jai. The teacher was excellent and really helpful. I got the sense that she is passionate about what she does. She even did something that felt like Reiki to each student at the end. The space was warm and inviting and the person at the desk was helpful and friendly. All around a great experience and I plan to buy classes month to month. Also, my lower back pain was significantly decreased after just one class!

After trying many studios around Brooklyn and Manhattan I finally found Jai Yoga Arts. I was searching for a studio that had both a sense of community and would encourage me to explore my boundaries. Ella has created the perfect oasis at Jai where students of all levels can feel comfortable and confident. After practicing at Jai for a year, I decided that I had not only found my studio, I had found where I wanted to deepen my practice and knowledge by pursuing my 200hr. Yoga Teacher Training. Having completed the training this past November, I cannot express how valuable my experience truly was. The training introduced me to new concepts of yoga, other amazing teacher trainees, and allowed me to see that I am capable of so much more than I ever thought possible. The Jai teachers and community have changed my life forever and I am forever grateful that they have helped me take the first steps of my new journey.

great prices, sense of community, integration of meditation, each class/teacher has it's own flavor but also follows a similar structure...I like the consistency combined with the variety, warm welcoming space...doesn't feel too sterile
