First time doing aerial yoga in a studio. It was relaxing, not intimidating at all, and apparently an excellent work out because I’m definitely feeling it today! Great studio, can’t wait to go back!

The most extraordinary, and artful yoga studio I have ever experienced. All of the teachers know their craft and they are approachable, kind spirited and full of fun. There is a wide range of classes at SBY, and whether you are new to the practice or a seasoned practitioner, the community supports and welcomes you!! I took my 500 hour teacher training at SBY and found David to be an extremely gifted teacher. He has great knowledge of intelligent movement, he also combines body, mind and soul with ease in all his classes. He is heartwarming, loving, and also lots and lots of fun!!! (And as my Mom would say- he is easy on the eyes!). SBY makes me want to relocate from Maine... ���

South Boston Yoga is one of the best studios I've ever been to, not to mention the most welcoming. Co-founder David Vendetti is not only a skilled instructor, but makes every single person feel at home in his classes and at the studio. In 2005, before South Boston Yoga opened, I invited David to teach workshops at my suburban Boston studio. After that, David led the anatomy portion of my teacher training course. No matter where David teaches, he always puts his students first. He is a rare gem. Boston is lucky to have David and South Boston yoga in its backyard. I hope you will find your yoga home at South Boston Yoga.

Hands down my favorite yoga studio in Boston, if not the country. All the staff & teachers are friendly and inviting, and there is a real sense of community. Also, I've never had a bad class there, the bathrooms/changing rooms are luxurious, it's easily accessed by public transit, and they have a wonderfully full class schedule so no matter what your schedule looks like, you will find a class at a time that works for you. David, Todd and the SBY staff pour their blood, sweat and tears into the place, and it shows! (Oh, and let's not forget Tegan, the four legged SBY mascot/assistant teacher!!!)

I've practiced at South Boston Yoga since 2009, and it is my home away from home in Boston -- incredibly welcoming community, fantastic classes, and a beautiful space. You can find range of high quality classes at all times of the day (vigorous vinyasa classes, aerial classes, pilates, hot yoga, meditation, ball rolling, yoga teacher trainings!), it is right on the redline, the studios have high ceilings and huge windows, there are great showers and lavender lotion, and it is filled with kind, talented, and thoughtful people. David and Todd (studio owners) in particular are two of the kindest, most committed people I have met, and have created a safe, welcoming, and warm space -- along with some seriously sweaty full body workouts. Highly recommend!

David's classes were inspirational and life-changing for me. I would walk from south end to south Boston 3 days a week 30 min there and 30 min back (rain, snow or sleet - it didn't matter) and it was a big reason I was excited to move to southie. I went for 3 years and not only did I love it for the physical workout and changes I saw but David has such a nurturing and sensitive way about him, it really soothed my soul. I also took other classes which were equally amazing, such as the hot yoga. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. SBY is the absolute best in the city. I could have gone to so many other studios closer to home. It was well worth it. ���

I did a work study/exchange at South Boston Yoga years ago. Never have I felt more accepted by a staff or community in my experience! David is one of the most honest, kind and caring people I know. He has carried the torch- providing space for numerous instructors, healers, dance movement enthusiasts, and everyday folks needing the best yoga class they can find in the area! The facility is very inviting, warm and clean. I cannot recommend South Boston Yoga enough! Truly a transcendent business.

South Boston Yoga has been my yoga home for the last almost 6 years, and it is truly an incredible place to practice yoga! The teachers are the best in the city and care deeply about each and every student and helping them learn how to practice yoga safely and in a warm and welcoming environment. The community at SBY is unlike any yoga studio I've ever practiced at. Everyone is extremely friendly and welcoming to all ages, sexual orientations, ethnicities and fitness levels. I've made some of my best friends at SBY and feel like I'm seeing family everytime I go there. I would give this studio 10 stars if I could!

I'm not sure i can say enough about South Boston Yoga. I went there at a point in my life when i knew i needed a change. I committed myself to doing something different. As awkward as it was at times and as silly as some of the poses were, i knew I'd found something. I showed up, i experienced life and through the asana practice i started believing in myself again. They showed me through hard work and dedication i could be a version of myself that was better than I'd ever dreamed of. I'd love to say I'd stayed the course and become the world's best human. But that's not the case, what they did provide was a place i could come back to without judgement and rediscover myself. I'll forever be grateful for David and Todd and the place they provide. There is a teacher for every mood and objective. Love them all.

Hands down (no pun intended), the best place for "sweating it all out" in times where workloads are heavy and the hustle and bustle of the holidays get to you in the big city that is Boston. Long story short, the instructors teach you not only the fundamentals of yoga but how to breathe. Something so simple yet profound. You'll get what me and many of us yogis are talking about if you just take one class with many of the excellent instructors like David and Todd! Amazing. Love this place and I hope you do too! They have many all-levels, hot yoga, restorative, pilates and workshops galore! I can go on and on... My favorite place to relax and chill out. Namaste!

You can feel the compassion, love, knowledge and altruism of the owners, Todd and David, as soon as you enter the studio. As a graduate of the SBY 200 RYT, a teacher and a student here at SBY, I feel I learn something new each time I take or teach a class. I have followed Dave Vendetti for some time now and through this time developed a soft spot for him and the love and light he shares. I finally went to SBY to practice a few weeks ago and felt at home. It's more than words can describe, there's a calming presence that flows through you; the dharma and flow is beautiful and really takes you home to yourself. I highly recommend SBY

I've been to many studios and SBY definitely deserves five stars. I don't usually review, but I love SBY and the warm SBY community and want to spread the word.The owners and teachers are so knowledgeable and kind and I love the variety of classes they offer. PS. Try David's self massage ball rolling class, it has helped me greatly w pain and tension and now I know how to keep myself feeling great using these tools. Thanks SBY!

The first day I set foot in South Boston Yoga, I was blown away with warmth, knowledge, and respect. I've learned so much from this amazing studio about yoga both on and off the mat. You walk in and it immediately feels like home, even if it's been a while. Teachers are the best! David is a beacon of light, I usually laugh and cry 5-6 times per class. You kinda just wanna run up there and hug him. Yogis, look no further then this studio!

Such a beautiful community of teachers + students, you can really feel at home here. The teachers are all so knowledgeable and approachable. I love the variety of classes from all levels vinyasa to yin to lunch time (1 hour) and more. Whether you are looking to start your practice, deepen it, or learn something (through their wonderful workshops) - you will find what you're looking for here!

BY is one of the most welcoming and warm studios I've ever been to. David is so full of energy and life and you can't help but be happy being around him. The only negative thing I would say is that it's unfortunate the studio isn't closer to where I live. I'd be here all the time!

I did my 200hr Yoga Teacher training at SBY and was astounded by the grace, calm and joy with which David and Todd taught us. The program itself is beautifully designed and emphasizes not only to the actual practice of teaching yoga, but also the history of yoga, Buddhist philosophy, human anatomy and the development of the individual.

South Boston Yoga is the REAL DEAL!!! Definitely the best studio around. I have been practicing yoga for 16 years, 4.5 of which have been at SBY predominantly. My personal practice has improved so much since I started practicing there because the quality of instruction is so good!!! From there, SBY's wonderfulness goes on and on - from being unpretentious and all-inclusive, to offering fabulous workshops and providing a real community of support and friendship - SBY really does have it all. I absolutely adore South Boston Yoga!!!

I travel from Portsmouth, NH to come to this studio! I have never felt so welcome at a Boston studio. David is incredible, his classes are fun, different, and I usually laugh a LOT. Each teacher I have taken class with at South Boston Yoga has been uplifting, and so inspiring to me as a teacher.
