Designed for fitness, medical and therapy professionals, Merrithew Fascial Movement workshops and courses explore the latest research findings on the neuromyofascial skeletal system. With an emphasis on movement variables including Bounce, Sense, Expand and Hydrate, Merrithew Fascial Movement training offers a thorough understanding of what fascia is, what it does, how it moves and how to work with it across a range of varying modalities. Upon completion of the Instructor Course, participants will be able to incorporate content taught in the course to their existing qualifications/training and can use the term “trained in Merrithew Fascial Movement”.
This course is intended for those already working in the fields of fitness or movement. Students registering for this course must have completed Intensive Mat Plus or Intensive Reformer. The Cadillac, Chair, & Barrels course has been structured into three separate modules; ICAD, ICHR and IBRL, to give you maximum flexibility. Completion of all three modules is required to be eligible for certification.
The STOTT PILATES® Injuries & Special Populations (ISP) course equips you with the skills required to address a broad range of physical challenges among your clients. It is important to note that this course will NOT prepare students to diagnose or treat any specific injuries or conditions or prescribe exercises for these populations without consultation with an appropriate health practitioner (i.e. Physical Therapist, Physiotherapist or similarly recognized health care professional).
The Advanced Cadillac, Chair & Barrels course has been structured into three separate modules to allow you to choose which element to take, and when. Completion of all three modules below is required to be eligible for certification.
The Halo® Training program – high intensity, interval training is designed for fitness instructors teaching high intensity group classes and individual clients. More than just a prop, the Halo Trainer Plus is featured as the basis for a complete training program that allows instructors to manipulate exercise attributes and intensity in individual training plans. Incorporating the basic science behind core-integrated bodyweight training, the unique design of the Halo® Trainer Plus and the use of a Stability Ball™ and additional small props, gives fitness trainers extensive and highly applicable tools.
The ZEN•GA® program is a teaching modality that consciously connects the body and the mind through a fusion of Pilates, yoga, martial arts and meditation. Through intention and imagery, ZEN•GA will unleash the body from tension and bring more clarity to the mind. Using props and equipment, we stimulate the fascial system and build endurance, strength, mobility and stability while cultivating a greater sense of physical awareness.
The Total Barre Foundation Course provides the groundwork for Instructors, enabling them to produce safe, effective and varied programs that address the needs and goals of every client. The Course presents 11 specially arranged and selected segments – accompanied by timed selections of music – that serve as the template for each session or class and produce a balanced and complete workout. Participants are also introduced to the Total Barre Principles.
This course is intended for those already working in the fields of fitness or movement, or completed the Functional Anatomy Course and want to attend the Teacher Training program for Reformer. Building on your industry knowledge it teaches you to design and lead the Level 1 Essential and Intermediate STOTT PILATES Reformer repertoire for personal or group training settings for a range of clients. You will leave with a solid foundation and required skills to develop effective and motivating Pilates Reformer programs. While IR may be taken prior to IMP, we recommend completing IMP first.
Progress your pilates teacher training Reformer course to the Advance Reformer Course. Learn to use the various Reformer components and accessories to intensify reformer repertoire and provide a stimulating workout for athletes, dancers, and highly conditioned clients. Held over 3 days this 18 hour Advanced course teaches exercises in the repertoire that require greater strength, stability and flexibility.
This 3 hour course held over one-day, provides you with 14 Advanced Stability Chair™ exercises plus modifications, for the highly conditioned client.
This course is intended for those already working in the fields of fitness or movement. Students registering for this course must have completed Intensive Mat Plus or Intensive Reformer. This 6 hour course held over one-day, progresses to Matwork to more advanced material, providing further options and challenges on the mat for highly conditioned clients. Exercises require a high degree of strength, balance and coordination.
This course uses lectures, demonstrations and group activities to teach basic anatomy fundamentals. There is a focus on anatomical terminology, which includes anatomical position, planes of motion, types of movement, names and locations of the majority of the bones in the body, locations and actions of joints, major muscle groups and the individual muscles’ origin insertion and action. Select exercises from the STOTT PILATES® repertoire are also broken down and analyzed in terms of the functional anatomy at play. Participants will deepen their understanding of the body and enhance their teaching with improved exercise selection and programming.
This course is intended for those already working in the fields of fitness or movement or if you’ve completed the Functional Anatomy Course. Becoming a STOTT PILATES® Mat instructor you will be building on your industry knowledge it teaches you to design and lead the Level 1 Essential and Intermediate STOTT PILATES Matwork repertoire, for personal or group training settings for a range of clients. You will leave with a solid foundation and required skills to develop effective and motivating Pilates Matwork programs.
