Welcome to Pilates BodyTree! 80% of the people who came to us have experienced some form of aches and pain in their bodies, whether through sedentary lifestyles or sports. The common reason for coming to us is that they want to live well and be able to do the things that they love for a long time.
We strongly believe in teaching our members to have movement confidence and not movement avoidance. Movement avoidance rarely gets to the root of the physical problems we face. We strive to help our members overcome these problems and most importantly build movement confidence so that they are empowered to move well to live well.
Bring an extra challenge to your body awareness, balance and proprioception, activate your deep core muscles – assisted by the foam roller and small Pilates Ball.
This class is encouraged especially if you are seeking to improve your balance, build dynamic stability strength and invigorate your practice.
Working from the ground up, this class actively promotes barefoot stimulation, connects and builds foot to core strength – all while improving one’s foot function.
You will understand the importance of foot stability and learn to integrate it into our everyday activities and sports.
While beneficial for everyone, this is especially helpful for runners, dancers and athletes who demand more of their feet.
Challenge your movement awareness as you are brought through the three components of Fletcher Towelwork®, Floorwork® and Barrework™. You will be brought through creative transitions and class progressions, with an emphasis on movement in 3 dimensions.
If you’re new to PBT, you are highly recommended to attend other class types of similar nature – such as Slider & Tubing – to build up pre-requisite awareness and joint mobility.
Improve your spinal mobility and build the necessary strength, flexibility, control and coordination with greater ease and support.
Due to its unique shape, you will experience greater spinal support and immediate spinal feedback.
This is especially beneficial for individuals who are looking to improve their thoracic spine extension and build the necessary core strength for a traditional Matwork class.
Challenge and build your hip & shoulder joint mobility and strength. You will work on strengthening stabilizing muscles around the two joints, with the assistance and resistance of the Slider and Tubing equipment.
With its low load, this is extremely safe and beneficial if you are seeking to rehabilitate your shoulders and hips.
Incorporating trigger balls and foam rollers, you will be brought through proper myofascial release techniques and stretches. You will experience effective muscular tension release and increased flexibility over time, with consistent practice.
This class is especially beneficial if you experience frequent persistent stiffness, aches and pain; or find your practice limited by your flexibility.
Have you ever been to a group class and felt that the class was not tailored to your goals or needs, yet Personal Training was too expensive?
Have you ever felt that the group class you went to in the gym had too many people for you to have in-depth learning?
Have you ever experienced similar workout in 2 different classes in a week and wished you knew what would be covered to help you plan & get the most of your workouts?
A lot of our members came to us with these thoughts (together with a list of others) and we have helped them through our specially designed group classes. Our 8 class types work together to improve your mobility fitness dramatically and create impactful change in your body.
Everyone starts with our Signature Intro Class, where we introduce you to the different class types and observe how you move. After the session, we'll help you tailor a program that meets your goals and address imbalances or weaknesses that your body may have. We'll let you know which classes are essential for you to ensure your efforts will lead to the results you want from The Intro Pack.
Our classes have a maximum class size of 12, which allows our teacher to work more closely with you. Our teachers are all Prehab-trained to design programs that take into account injuries, give you appropriate progressions and regressions so that you do not put your body at risk of injuries. They also attend weekly mentoring, staff development & continual education courses to give you their very best teaching so as to ensure you have in-depth learning in classes.
All our classes have different objectives so it is easy for you to compliment any other modalities of training you may be involved in. For eg. if you already train your lower limb strength at the gym, you may want to attend our Slider & Tubing class, which focuses on hip mobility instead. You will not have repeat workouts that you may frequently encounter when you attend general classes.
