VITALITY: a center for wellbeing is a community resource for clients and practitioners. Clients will find an environment of diversified professionals to guide them on their path to complete wellness. Holistic health practitioners will find a home to build the practice of their dreams. MELISSA: In the spring of 2008, I was licensed by the State of Ohio to practice massage. That spring I began my practice sharing a room with one of my teachers at Columbus State. My practice grew quickly and within a year I found myself searching for another space that could better accommodate my client’s needs. Before I knew it, I was out on my own. As I expanded, so did the need for my self care. I began to reach out to different holistic health practitioners. My clients were watching the improvements in my health and wanted to know what I was doing. I began sharing my “team†of wellness professionals with them; once a month I brought in someone different that I had worked with, free of charge, to my clients: there was a holistic health coach, a business coach, a spiritual director, a personal trainer, a naturopath, a meditation facilitator, and more. My clients began to make connections and heal in amazing ways. And then it dawned on me. What if I could offer all (or at least most of) the services my clients needed on their journey to complete wellness in one place? How much more would that help them? How could the practitioners help each other? How could we reach into and help support our community. And then came May I Be Frank. May I be Frank is an Independent Film whose director decided to take a non-traditional method to distribute the film in which they ask for members of the holistic health community to sponsor the film. Enter Juli. Juli was the business coach (MBA) that I had worked with and invited in for a wellness workshop for my clients. She was one of the co-hosts for the screening and asked me if I wanted to support it. I said of course. That is without seeing any of the film or really knowing anything about it. Enter Stephanie. She was the other host. And a holistic health coach. And I knew I’d be working with her. We joined forces in May of 2011.
