In alignment with ITC Hotels' philosophy of 'being rooted to the soil' and offering authentic indigenous experiences, ITC Sonar chose a 100-year-old Baluchari weave design, curated in collaboration with the Crafts Council of West Bengal, as the inspiration for their Guest Relations uniforms. This intricate design, once a symbol of elegance for the ladies of landed nobility, was no longer available in the market, making its recreation a significant challenge for the weavers. The result was a stunning sari that drew much admiration and perfectly embodied the essence of timeless heritage.
