We have fantastic programs all around the Coast, Burleigh Heads, Nerang , Southport and Labrador.The Australian School of Meditation and Yoga is a non-profit organisation with centres in Brisbane,, Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.Each lifestyle centre is run by qualified teachers who offer relaxed and personable instruction incorporating asanas, meditation, diet, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques for a holistic yoga experience.

The programmes of the ASMY are simple and enjoyable and can benefit everybody regardless of age or current physical condition. Our goal is to guide you to a more balanced lifestyle with an increased sense of wellbeing and vitality as your body grows stronger and more flexible, your mind calm—and bring a greater sense of ‘sacredness’ into daily life.

YOGA ASANAS

Yoga asanas (exercises) increase flexibility, strengthen and tone muscles, balance hormones, cleanse and flush all the internal systems of the body, calm the mind and reduce stress. Our classes at ASMY are non competitive and focus on safely progressing from easy to more challenging poses. Classes are suitable for all levels and include kirtan, meditation and relaxation.

MEDITATION

Meditation not only calms the mind, allowing you to relax, it provides insights into the workings of the mind and emotions. It further helps you develop clarity and wisdom, gaining a greater understanding of life. Through meditation you can experience inner peace and lasting happiness by reawakening your natural spiritual consciousness and becoming self-realised.

KIRTAN

Kirtan is the singing of ancient Vedic mantras, spiritually uplifting songs, prayers and the Sacred Names of the Supreme. Rather than being a type of performance, Kirtan is a journey of self discovery. It is the most powerful and enjoyable form of meditation.
