Our Mission Is to provide the highest quality Pilates instruction, consistent, enjoyable and satisfying workouts, with a personalised service. Our studio opened in 2008, initially as a Mat Pilates studio and then in 2016 as the only fully equipped boutique Pilates studio in the Rockingham area. We offer equipment Pilates, reformer fitness and rehabilitation, including postural alignment and symmetry and spine and bone health. Our objective is to provide a refreshing approach to the Pilates Method, focus is on the Pilates Principles, Concentration, Control, Centring, Precision, Breath and Flowing movement. Whether you are an elite athlete, are in need of injury rehabilitation or looking for general fitness. Ocean Pilates® is committed to empowering people through movement and work towards movement without pain. Pilates has a proven track record to assist individuals with significant pain reduction or elimination, and is an excellent form of exercise for pre and post surgery recovery. Sammy has been passionate about fitness and wellbeing all her life and is an experienced Pilates instructor and personal trainer, she gained her first fitness qualifications in 1997 from the UK. Sammy has taught many Pilates, aerobics and circuit training classes, had numerous personal training clients and has managed a private health club in the UK. After a short career in Human Resources and gaining an MSc at Distinction level, Sammy had to give up her office role due to inflammatory joint disease in her wrists, she decided to go back to her first love – fitness. Sammy has had first hand knowledge at experiencing muscle strength decrease and a reduction in grip, making it difficult to open jars, fill her car up with fuel and worst of all struggle to open screw top bottles of wine! Sammy understands and can appreciate just how hard it is sometimes to get motivated to keep fit, but through exercise has increased her strength and grip, eradicated the pain in her back and neck and now enjoying life back at full strength.
