Fernwood Gym yoga Parramatta

Mature environment, great staff, clean facilities, positive vibes & motivation from all staff & members. Highly recommended for mum's with little ones as creche is amazing. So many different time slots to fit your routine ! I started as soon as my son was 6 weeks old and have never felt healthier ! Thanks fernwood parramatta ??

Under new ownership, the recent renovations have really given this gym an amazing atmosphere. From the freshly painted walls, the updated clean amenities and the brand new equipment, this gym really stands out. There’s even a zen room!! The variety of classes on offer cater for everyone. The instructors and personal trainers are compassionate about the members and knowledgeable with great experience. The staff are extraordinary and the members are all encouraging, really adding to the fun, accepting environment of Fernwood Parramatta.

I left this gym after my friend fell in the old slippery shower and cut herself and hurt her back because the non slip mats had been taken away. The owner refused to clean them. My friend had to argue and sign a waiver to get medical help and then they refused to let her back into classes because she hadn’t signed the waiver. The called Westfield security on her and when they refused to get involved, threatened to call the police. Over my time there, the level of service, cleanliness, class schedule and equipment was reduced more and more all the time. Excellent instructors were gotten rid of for no reason. Very unfortunate because it could be a great gym with proper management.

It has been a long journey over 10 years since I first joined a member at Fernwood Parramatta in February 2007 and still go on with determination. I have to say big thank you to my dear husband who encouraged me to brighten my hectic days by joining Fernwood Parramatta gym. Spending over eight hours a day sitting in front of computer, I had no idea how much stress my body was under. The group classes and personal training are my favourites because instructors are so professional and motivating. I feel really comfortable with the environment, surrounded by only lady members and friendly staffs. I am now fitter than ever. It is fantastic the way exercise can relieve stress. Thanks Fernwood Parramatta for changing my attitude and make my days.

Fernwood Parramatta has a very sparse timetable and they have reduced classes. if you are an evening gym person and wanted classes, there is barely anything on. Compare Parramatta timetable to another one like seven hills and you'll realise how bad this gym is in terms of what is on offer. I've been a member here for many years and a lot of members are not pleased with the timetable.

Not a great experience at all! Did not receive the service that was promised to me, when i complained about it i ended up getting an unprofessional email (by mistake) from staff. So decided to cancel my membership, felt pressured by them to stay and give them a "second chance" but again decided against it as it was not working for me and now still being charged a cancelation fee. Pretty disappointing, i guess thats how they make their money! Beware ladies!

I have been attending Fernwood for the past couple of years and their service has been fantastic. The staff are friendly, professional and always there to meet your needs. They have helped me with my training and fitness goals and am seeing great results!!

Absolutely terrible to deal with! Only went for 2-3 weeks before I got injured and incompetent staff member didn’t cancel my membership now leaving me with a ridiculously high amount of fees. $551 plus cancellation fees are extremely out of whack to pay for 3 weeks. Don’t recommend at all!!!

Really disappointed. Turned up for the introduction session but they booked us in for personal training instead. Our personal trainer didn't check our file but went ahead with the session (didnt realise we were new). We went ahead with the session anyway and by the end my arms and legs were shaking badly but she didnt say anything so i assumed it was fine and kept going. Spent the next few days in a lot of pain (which I was expecting)-- But then my arms began to swell!! I went to the Doctor on Monday and it turns out I had rhabdomyolysis. We had booked another introductory session for this morning. We arrive to find that the same trainer was at an appointment and our session was basically cancelled, and Fernwood had neglected to tell us this. At this point I DEFINITELY won't be seeing a personal trainer again and will probably cancel my membership entirely.
