I’ve practiced yoga at a lot of schools, under a lot of teachers, and I can honestly say that Shivani is one of the best. Shivani has a very deep understanding of yoga, and it really comes through in her teaching. You’ll feel the physical, spiritual, and emotional benefits of yoga all come together as one on the mat, and when you’re done, you’ll walk away a better version of yourself. Shivani is one of those precious teachers who can make you feel like that. And while you’re at it, you’ll have a lot of fun in the process!

To reflect on my experience with Cielo leads me to realize how in her classes I am consistently opened to a deeper understanding of yoga and myself. She brings to the room a level of passion and courage that moves me deeply within and evokes immense determination. Her integration of yogic philosophy with acute attention on our postures presents an unparralled class for me over and over again. Perhaps what speaks to me most me most about Cielo’s classes is the openess in giving her full self in teaching- candor, intensity, humor, and heart-wrentching accounts of motherhood and bravery. “I’ve been studying with Cielo for five years now, and it amazes me how she manages to teach me something new, every single time we practice. As a yoga teacher myself, I’m fascinated by her sequencing – always creative, always incorporating new asanas and variations – and her cuing mastery. Cielo can spot a student needing an alignment cue from the other side of the room and seamlessly call out a three or four word instruction that drastically refines the pose in the time it takes to take one inhale. Insightful and efficient, I borrow her lines constantly. But as a student of yoga, I appreciate her commitment to the deeper yoga tradition and how she’s logged substantial India time and done so much of the reading. Ask her to sing mantra for you – only India vets create vibrations like that. And she knows the Sutras well, the Gita and the ayurvedic concepts. ‘C’ can even tell you a little parable about Saraswati or Kali to help put your asana practice into a more meaningful context. It’s a comprehensive and well rounded practice grounded in something that is powerful and timeless which consequentially inspires me to be a better yogi – and I’m not talking about the poses. I would recommend studying with Cielo because she’ll help you get to where you need to go, and quickly It takes a keen eye, an extensive knowledge base and a lot of experience to know how to develop each student individually because everybody learns a little bit differently. Go take a look at one of her classes and you’ll notice that she appeals to a wide variety of people. That’s because Cielo English is the right teacher for every body.
