i led a yoga retreat at Gitana del Mar and every day was astounded by the kindness and attention to detail from each and every member of the staff (specially Clementina) as well as the owners, Nina and Ryan. The food was outrageously good and abundant. Breakfast alone was a 3-course meal prepared by the incredible Chef Quentin, and don't even get me started on the goodness of lunch and dinner. Every food allergy and preference was catered to with thoughtfulness at each meal. The bungalows were sweet, and appropriately spacious. The weather was spectacular (first week of January) and even though it got hot in the day (enough to enjoy the pool and need flip flops on the sunny part of the sand), no one missed air conditioning. I heard it even felt cold in the glamper! The winds keep it feeling moderate, and the evenings are comfortably cooler than the day. I highly recommend the Kogui Fire Ceremony, if possible, during your stay. There are potent messages in it. And I highly recommend bringing more pesos than you think you'll need (for the impressively curated boutique, tipping, dessert, drinks, spa treatments, etc.). Of course they take credit card, but there's no ATM anywhere nearby so it is helpful to staff if you have cash. And there are safes in the rooms. Ask me any questions below! I would go back in a heartbeat.
