Our experience was wonderful from start to finish, beginning with our arrival at Dana's open plan wooden Khmer house in a beautiful spot, surrounded by lush nature. The first class was Qigong to get us started for the day, and of which we became instant fans. That was followed by an amazing fresh smoothie bowl breakfast and a short rest, before meditation which we both found challenging, but in a very positive way. The afternoon consisted of informal but interesting group talks about anatomy (with interruptions from a hilarious pet cat) and yoga, small tasters of Chinese teas and a really delicious lunch, and then ended with Yoga. I was apprehensive about the yoga as I hadn't practiced for a long, long time but Dana was an inspiring and caring teacher who kept a close eye on us, while encouraging each of us to work to our own capabilities and also correcting postures when required, so I enjoyed it very much. We can absolutely recommend Redforest Retreat and hope to return again!
