First of all, you wouldn't expect such a place when you turn into the backyard from the busy Mehringdamm. It is hard to believe that despite the noise, people and other features of a big city, this place of rest can be located there. When you find it, you immediately realize that this is no ordinary place.
I've tried a lot, tried several different forms of meditation and chanting. But what I encountered in this place really touched me. In front of a beautiful altar, with elaborately decorated Buddha statues and special objects, raised on a pedestal, a young monk sat and told about the method with which one can completely calm one's mind. How - with a little practice - you can achieve permanent happiness, not just spontaneous, temporary happiness. Yes I would also like to. I can't put it into the few lines I have here, nor am I as practiced as this young man. But I'll keep at it, because who doesn't want to be happy all the time in this crazy, busy world we live in?
Thank you for this experience.
