Unfortunately I had an unsatisfactory experience at Jaya Yoga. I wanted to attend a particular class since it was advertised as being taught in English on their website. Upon arrival I was informed that the class would in fact be taught in German. Even though it was misleading, I understand that mistakes can happen so I decided to stay. We're in Germany, I can make the effort. Then I'm told that they don't teach if only one person shows up. I was the only person to show up so I was forced to leave. I left my apartment on a rainy Monday night only to return without having attended the yoga class I had looked forward to all day. The studio is entitled to whichever policy they choose but other prospective students should be informed of this. I'm not sure if it's advertised on their website, I'm assuming it is, however I do think it should be clearer given the risk that people are taking when they decide to attend a class there.

I have been enjoying yoga with Annet Münzinger and Soulyoga for many years. Annet offers fascia yoga. She continued to develop her yoga and integrated her excellent knowledge of the body into her yoga. Everyone who would like to move more freely and naturally beyond yoga dogma and who would like to develop an understanding of their own body is in good hands here. Thank you Annet - for the great company over the long period of time.

For me the "slightly different yoga studio" in which not only the mainstream styles are offered. There are always new offers that are taught by competent teachers. The studio is a gem in a city that is otherwise so focused on efficiency and appearances. I always feel very comfortable and in good hands.

My favorite studio in Munich
The Jaya is a small yoga studio in a backyard in the Glockenbachviertel. A beautiful, cozy yoga room with bamboo floors. Mats, blocks, belts, blankets, tea, everything you need is available. I find the yoga teachers there (most with Anusara training) to be exceptionally good. They teach attentively, variedly and with a lot of heart and humor. The groups are relatively small and the teachers keep an eye on their students. Important to avoid injury. For its size, the Jaya offers a lot of choice and flexibility. There are often additional events (intensives, outdoor yoga, retreats, SUP yoga, concerts... even city tours!).
And above all, you meet normal, warm-hearted people there who are fun to practice with.
Thank you Annet and Thais for this oasis :-)
Oh yes, which might bother some people: there are no showers.

A feel-good oasis! I am sooooo happy to have discovered Jaya Yoga last year. In addition to all the hip, mass-focused yoga studios, finally a space where you can REALLY find yourself. Every hour comes from the heart. Keep it up!
