The Yoga Shala Paros studio is a deeply peaceful, spiritual and calming space. This atmosphere stems directly from Irana, her guidance and the wonderful set of teachers that create the studio's classes and practices. For those looking to receive genuine instruction from gifted and compassionate teachers, that treat yoga and meditation as tools for enhancing and unlocking your journey through modern life - this is simply a place you must visit.
I attended the 100 TTC, and Irana and her team made the entire experience effortless from start to finish. The studio arranged airport transfers, accommodation and wonderfully healthy and delicious vegetarian (or vegan) food for the duration of my stay. Most of your days will be filled with 3-4 hours of yoga practice, an hour of meditation and 1-2 hours of theoretical instruction (covering mantras, chakras and alignment amongst other things). Irana intersperses the standard studio schedule with very meaningful and enjoyable external events, including a few sessions of sunrise beach yoga and walking meditations in Paros' wonderful hills and rugged landscapes.
There isn't too much time left for exploring the island (you have about 2 hours in the afternoon), but this can be indulged on your day off (Sunday) - or by staying a few days longer around the TTC. If you are content staying in the beautiful village of Naousa and it's surrounding beaches - the afternoon breaks provide ample time for swimming and relaxing close by.
Overall, my time at Yoga Shala Paros was genuinely transformational. Irana's skillful training in a combination of yoga, mantras and meditation holistically developed my practice and understanding. Whether you are someone relatively new to the path or ready to begin teaching - I cannot recommend Yoga Shala Paros enough.
