Maadthil Cottages

A perfect hideaway resort south of the maddening crowds of Varkala cliff. Owned by a local and managed by him and his two brothers, the cottages under palm trees are very well maintained, tidy and spacious. Service is top, very helpful and attentive staff. Location is really wonderful, directly at the sea, high palm trees above and a lake covered by lotus flowers in the backyard. Do not miss the food which is cooked freshly and on request, ask for the prawns marsala. We fell in love with this place.

maadathil cottages is not just a resort but a gateway in itself. surrounded by lush greenery, overlooking the Arabian Sea, it's a slice of dreamland for everyone who wishes for some quality time alone or the best people. Anees and his team will go to any extent just to make sure you're having the best time while holidaying. there's so a small beach right adjacent to the resort, where you can often find yourself being alone... with no one in the vicinity. also, the place is just 20/25 minute's walking distance from the main varkala cliff, in case you want to experience the area!

Just an amasing place. We will newer forget you. I hope we can come back another year. Beutiful and clean houses. Fantastic natur. And Most of all, the Fantastic straff who celebrate us on our anniversery whith cake and flowers. We love you all

Best place to unwind in Varkala! Family owned and operated, Muhajeer, Mohammad and their team go out of their way to make your stay perfect. The lotus pond in the back of the property is particularly serene and the sound of crashing waves makes for perfect sleeps. The food is also some of the best I've had in South India. I've visited twice and I plan on returning again and again...

The cottage is placed in a wonderful location. The beach near to hotel is like a private beach and is very calm. The staffs are super friendly and very helpful and talktive, they always eager for over opinions and sugesstions. The restaurant is also nice as they will only prepare after we order. So the orders may take time but will be hot and fresh. And the rooms are clean and nice as well. Value for money. Usually full of foreigners. The only negative is the way to reach there by yourself in car. Since i came in bike i reached by myself. They will pick you up if needed so that is also not an issue. Must stay here if you visit varkala. Highly recommended.

Lovely location, comfortable cottages, helpful staff and homely food. Had a good time here. Please be careful while using the swings or relaxing under the coconut trees. A huge branch of the tree fell as I sat under one. Apart from that everything felt perfect.

"The resort is one best peaceful place in the whole cliff. the resort is almost located to the end of the cliff side, the front view of the sea is spectacular.the front side provide much more space to spend some time with the way we like. the back side of the resort gives a wonderful view of the lotus lake. Beautiful place to stay, South of the Cliff, great walk to the bars along the beach and cliff path. Lovely hosts, simple but really good breakfast and lunch and dinner should you choose. Our beach house backed onto a stunning Lotus Flower …

Amazing place to stay.. staff is really really good and helpful.. food is amazing here and its just a few steps away from Odyam beach which is very clean and not at all crowded.. we had sea view and lotus pond view from our balcony.. overall great place to stay.. would like to stay here whenever I visit Varkala.
