This was one of the most profound months of my entire life. Every single day in the training and continuing on the journey of life the Truth relayed here unfolds more and more beautifully. Cannot recommend it highly enough for an accurate view into one of the sacred experiential sciences of this human existence.

While I only studied here for 2 weeks I learned a great deal from the excellent instructors. Yoga Gita is a different form of yoga than others I’ve studied, with its strong emphasis on balance, precise alignment, and “growing into” a posture. It is a beautiful place and a lot of people interested in learning it has the opportunity and the atmosphere there is pleasant to them . And the yoga guru there also finds everyone in love and everyone looks like friends and it is very helpful for those interested in learning

I visited Mysore for a few days, because my plan was to practise Yoga in the county of origin. By chance I found Yoga Gita and registered to daily classes for four days. Honestly, before I started, I didn't know what to expect. I only knew the day will consist of asana practise, pranayama, meditation and yoga philosophy. After practicing for a few years yoga, which basically meant asanas for me, I was curious about the other aspects of yoga. Finally, after finishing the four days, I really appreciate the experiences I gained. All people are very nice, helpful and considerate. Vijay and his volunteers taught me a great deal of self awareness in all the aspects of yoga and life, even some of these concepts are still abstract and need more intensive studying and practising. But, I realize already, even using the same apps for practising, a change on my focus and awareness. Thanks to all the great people I met during this time. P.S. I didn't stay at the dorm of Yoga Gita, but next time I would, as I believe it would even more intensify my experiences by being close to all the other people.

You can feel the true essence of yoga is practiced at Yoga Gita; if you're new to, or already on the practice of yoga, you can be sure the yogis/yoginis at this place are ready to help in any way possible. Having stayed in May 2019 for only one week, it was so easy to befriend the people here that it was not so easy to leave. Facilities were clean and accommodation well maintained. Meals here were amazing, organic, and freshly prepared daily. Highly recommend YG, make sure you come here if you're in Mysore to practice yoga.

Yoga Gita changed my perspective of yoga and wide and simplified my vision of life. If you are looking for changes, if you a looking for yourself, if you are looking for that love that we each have in us, if you are looking for something simple, transparent, a union between theory and practice. All my life I never experienced true practice of yoga and never understood the true angle of Patanjali Yoga Sutra. I am blessed to learn more and looking forward to learn a lot from YogaGita. I am thankful to everyone for giving me this opportunity.

Followed a random yoga class on town square in Rotterdam, on International Yoga Day, exactly a year ago. Given by an Indian yogi, certain Sri Vijay Gopala. I was intrigued by his deep, thorough approach, but had no plans to pursue it further. Half a year later, lead by curiosity, found myself in an ashram in the NL on Yoga Gita teacher training which profoundly changed the way I see life and myself. After searching through different yoga styles for some 20 years, finally got it. I had to dig deeper and only few weeks later, with no prior intention or organizing, I arrived to Yoga Gita school in Mysore, India. It turned out to be a fantastic, confronting, confusing and at times scary month-long journey of discovering the Self through yoga. Yoga Gita school offers a total approach to yoga. Theory and practice. On and off the mat. Vijay is one of those teachers that can change your life. A teacher with immense knowledge and invaluable personal experience, who can explain things from all possible angles...show it, sing it or draw it until you get it.
