Tushita Mahayana Meditation Centre

One of my high points of visiting Delhi.The space is magic and silence has a strong presence here despite being in the middle of the busy city of Delhi. Was also very lucky to attend a great talk by Venerable Kabir.

I have been coming to the Tushita meditation centre for couple of years. Its like my little metropolitan paradise. Living in a very fast pace life style in the city is no easy task, especially when your mind is constantly chattering. I went looking for meditation places but most centres were commercially operating and the teachings were at a very superficial level. However, when I came to Tushita and attended the guided meditation teachings, I finally felt I have arrived at home. The kind teacher in the centre Venerable Kabir Saxena teaches not only the benefits and techniques of meditation but also how to understand the nature of mind. Apart, from the guided meditation which is so kindly offered free of cost and (although, may kind beings do generously give donations to ensure the sustainability of the centre), I have greatly benefited not only through the meditation sessions but also through the numerous visiting teachers and scholars who have been giving teachings in the centre, on various topics related to buddhist philosophy and issues related to life in general. I am very grateful to the Delhi Tushita centre and especially the teachers and the sangha friends for their kindness ,I received in the centre. I hope many more sentient beings would visit the centre and benefit through the meditation and teachings in Delhi Tushita centre.

Very peaceful place for meditation. Just few minutes from the busy city area in Delhi, and there you are in a very quiet center. The place is cozy and the Buddhas statues, paintings, the altar and the decorations are really beautiful. And the people are really nice.

Best place for a peaceful meetups and mediation. It been years whenever I come Delhi I visit this place. This is owned on an Old couple who are devotees in Art of living. Lots of love to them!

This place certainly falls in the hidden gems in Delhi and lot of people didn't know about & the amount of good they are bringing to Delhi is just beyond comprehension. All thanks to the wonderful people who works at the centre & all their patrons as well. Everything is done under the guidance of Lama Zopa Rinpoche. It is like a marvel to exist right in the centre of Delhi. It's a very peaceful place, you can learn to meditate here, you can meet great masters, you can listen to lectures, you can be the part of weekly pujas like Tara puja. There is a washroom at this centre. It's in a very peaceful place, it's super nice. It's like super amazing. I would recommend anyone to visit here. Just go to their website & check out what the upcoming events are & you can be part of that. There is no charging fee. But I highly recommend that you make a donation because this centre is entirely run on donations. They are doing a great job. I highly recommend giving a donation but it's like they don't perk you for donation. But it is a good practice. So please go there and you would have a really nice time.
