Ananda Ubud Cottages With Yoga

The most tranquil place. Staff are beautiful, always smiling and exceptionally helpful. Walking to our room across a small paddy field was magical. Our fourth visit. The pools are lovely and quiet. Easy access into Ubud.

The Ananda Cottages is the most beautiful resort I‘ve ever seen. Although you can enjoy the nature and the silence there, you are not far away from the center of Ubud. The people who are working there, are so friendly and keen to their customers. We are surely going to stay at your resort again ?? MATUR SUKSMA ??

Though, I didn't get to stay with you directly...this trip...THANK YOU so much for your impeccable customer service. I intended to stay after my yoga teacher training for a few extra days. You heard my requests and even pre arranged for my ride to the airport. Unfortunately, I was sent home early to heal after an injury and had to cancel. You graciously waived my cancelation fee after receiving records of my injury and misfortune. I am so glad I chose you and will choose you again on our next trip to Ubud. ? Namaste.

You will never want to leave. Being surrounded by rice paddies and jungle, a little river, water features, so many butterflies, etc. is just phenomenal. Staff is super nice and helpful, buffet breakfast is good, rooms are spacious...you can take a bath while looking at the jungle climbing over the bathroom wall. Be sure to walk around the property all the way to the yoga pavilion and you can get a glimpse of the setting sun or swing on the new swings. There are three pools to choose from, I had one all to myself, with only the sounds of nature around me.

Wonderful accommodation and people are so friendly and beautiful. Mouth ?? watering food ??????. Balinese culture is something to appreciate and admire. Love ?? this space. ??????????????love the outdoor bathroom

Beautiful peaceful place to stay. The gardens are lovely great pools too. The staff are fantastic extremely caring and helpful. Close to shops restaurants and supermarket. Only reason I didn't give it a five star rating was very hard beds and the food at their restaurant was not very exciting. Would I go back? Yes I would.

Its an awesome place like an oasis, the green fields ,the awesome yoga session excellent location(Ubud,a real paradise in Bali) , lovely nd friendly staff I use to cook my baby's food daily in their kitchen with the help of the chef who was extremely friendly..... ,we stayed in the super deluxe bunglow which was next to the reception so was very convineant to reach the restraunt nd other parts of the resort as it is a huge property... It was an awesome stay...??

This is a very large property - I stayed in the ‘Deluxe Rice Field View’ room which is tucked away from the main road, it overlooks the pool and rice paddies. The pool gets sun all day, great for tan time. In the morning it is a short walk by the paddies to the breakfast room. ROOM: The room was big and had a large balcony, stunning at sunset - and large enough for private yoga. Very comfy bed. Traditional Balinese styling. I hate ants so the giant ant spray was a saviour. YOGA: This seems to be a popular place for yoga retreats as there was a large group and Instagram influencers on site during my stay. I organised yoga with my local teacher, but there is a Shala on site. LOCATION: There are a lot of great restaurants in walking distance: Dumbo, Elephant Cafe, Mozaic, Mumbai Station, Bridges, Lazy Cats Cafe. It might be abit of a walk to Ubud palace area - but it’s only 5 min ride. Loved staying here ??

Ananda Cottages has beautiful gardens and both the grounds and the Deluxe Rice Field View room we booked were aesthetically delightful. We had stayed here about 25 years ago when there was less accommodation on the site (I don’t recall having an adjoining room/neighbours. Except for the frogs at night, it was so quiet). Seeing on the web the amazing upgrades they’ve made since, was very exciting. There are many positives to this property, including the lovely staff, beautiful and clean room, excellent air-conditioning, comfortable bed and the sustainable option of deciding when linen and towels are washed. The buffet breakfast provided excellent tropical fruit choices and otherwise was satisfactory. We ate in the Restaurant one evening and our meal of mie goreng and a salad was enjoyable. Nevertheless, all was not perfect… We would love to be able to give a 5 star rating, however the huge negative for us was that our room adjoined another and had extremely thin walls, with little or no sound-proofing!! Hence, we could hear our neighbours talking, laughing and coughing when we were attempting to sleep. When informed of this the following day, the staff kindly offered us another room, however they had exactly the same setup, so we declined. Unfortunately, it appeared to us that all or most of the rooms were set up the same and this alone would stop us from returning to Ananda Cottages. I’m also sure the squeaking from the wooden floors in our room would have disturbed anyone who happened to be staying below us. There were two Retreats being held at Ananda whilst we were there (a Women’s Retreat of 30 and a Yoga Retreat of 45 members), however they mostly attended meals away from the normal hours, so that wasn’t an issue. There was also some building work going on whilst we were there, however we were out most of the day, so it wasn't an issue for us. A shower curtain to keep the water off the floor would save having foot mats replaced regularly.

We had wanted to stay here for some time and were not disappointed. The property is spread out around rice paddies with local workers tending the rice harvest. Our room was beautiful and very spacious with a large balcony to relax on also. The surrounding gardens are lush and filled with tropical plants. We also had a pond with frogs in near the step to our room. Gorgeous. We enjoyed lazing in and around the pools - the infinity pool has beautiful views. We also undertook a private yoga class and a cooking class - both well worthwhile. Ananda staff can also organise appointments at a very good beauty spa close by - Bliss Spa. We enjoyed breakfast daily at the restaurant which has a standard array of offerings and also stayed for lunch and dinner on different days due to heavy rain storms. A very enjoyable spot to enjoy a storm with cocktail in hand. The restaurant looks out on a pond with stone statues, lots of tropical plants and two very entertaining ducks. This property is a very good choice in Ubud and they will also organise transfers and airport pickups. It is out of the main, busy area and provides a relaxing, serene environment to retreat to after a busy day or just spend a whole day there relaxing, Lovely, smiling staff ensure a pleasant stay.

This plain is an oasis in the busyness of Ubud. The gardens and surrounds are beautiful. The rooms are huge, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is delicious. Its a little bit out of town but there’s a free shuttle to town 3x per day. You can get a taxi back for 5 AUD. Massages are available at the nearby Bliss Spa. They will come and pick you up and drop you off. We will definitely stay here again anytime I return to Ubud in future.

Amazing hotel that is in a great location. Close to Ubud town and near cafes yet far enough for a serene and relaxing feel. Amazingly big rooms with easy access to pools. Being able to walk through rice fields everyday to amazing breakfast was a great addition. Staff was always friendly and helpful! Would stay again

The place is rally nicely made. The rooms are well decorated, They have 2 pools (as property is in 2 parts). Good, courteous staff to help you for anything you need. Breakfast is reasonable (less vegetarian dishes). It is about 1.5 KM from Ubud market (you can walk or take a bike). Please don't use Grab taxi and local taxi people are nasty and made us get down from booked cab).

I recently stayed at Amanda Cottages for a yoga training for 9 nights. The cottages were luxury and the grounds were stunning with scenic swiming pools, rice terraces and lily ponds. I also ate in the restaurant every day and found both brunch and evening dinner to be very high quality. The staff were so helpful. I can’t wait to go back. ????

We stayed here for 3 nights and no complaints at all. The staff is wonderful and the room so clean. We reserved a room with a big balcony and pool view. The gardens are lovely and there are small rice fields in the hotel. So great to take some nice pictures before breakfast. The pool is clean and refreshing. The breakfast was also ok with lots of asian and western choices. The room was big and we missed a safety deposit box in the room. Location is outside Ubud town but you could walk if you do like to walk for 25 min and it’s also easy to find drivers. Also easy to rent a scooter in Ubud.

I loved this place. When you travel overseas it has to be different from anything that you would get at home and this was. The outside bathroom, pool at my door, manicured lawns, fresh flower displays all so relaxing and comforting

Located northside of the heart Ubud. This hotel with wooden modern and traditional concept building make our day stayed here so colurful. With 2 pool we can swim privately. Breakfast good enaoug and it's easy to get some street food. This cottage also have outstanding ricefield view
