We held a small feminine retreat there in November 2017 and I can tell you this:
- the location is excellent. Up a hill, a bit outside Ubud, but very close to Ubud center still (5-7 minutes car ride maybe). The location is green and in the middle of the rice field, from which you can see Mount Agund (when it's not foggy).
- the owner was very kind to us and flexible to our needs.
- the staff was extraordinary, they went above and beyond to meet all our needs, from small to big, and they were very prompt in communication and in meeting our needs, as well as very respectful and polite.
- the rooms were very clean and kept clean every day without any exception!
- do expect some insects and gekos around the place, they are harmless and very normal there, it's Bali!
- The Yoga shalla is situated down a path, next to a valley/river and forest! Stunning!
- You can hear some insect/frog sounds in the evening/at night. You can choose to find it very relaxing, at it relaxes you while going to bed, or you can choose to be annoyed, which won't serve you. That is also very common for Asian countries, and it can be a wonderful merging with mother nature.
- the food was great (we had vegetarian and gluten free), and the kitchen was kept clean, we had coffee and tea all day long, and the staff were nice enough to let us use the kitchen when we wanted to prepare ourselves some indian tea.
- They also have a small spa just around the corner (at their other retreat called Nirmala), and the two therapists are absolutely amazing!
All in one, a beautiful experience and I would definitely go back there for my next retreat.
