The setting of the hotel is amazing. Surrounded by a jungle setting, and with three pools. The staff were the friendliest I have ever known at a hotel, I cannot fault the staff or surroundings. But, we had room 207,it was a very noisy room from which you could hear every movement from next door. We were there two weeks in that room and had to listen to noisy loud mouthed Australians who have no consideration for anyone else. Constantly shuffling chairs on the tiled floor, shouting down the telephone and constant banging around. Do not accept room 207 if you want peace and quiet. That aside, the room wasc kept spotless by the cleaners and was in a good state of repair. The only other fault was around the top pool, the decking is neglected, faded and rotting. The steps from which lead down to a deserted part of the hotel which the Jungle is taking back, sad to see it neglected as it could be so much more. Overall, brilliant hotel, if you can deal with loud Australians and the Yoga Contingent who snarl at you for having a beer and/or smiling/laughing.
