I don't know about the teacher's skill, he didn't give me the pleasure of trying even one lesson, but I know everything about the lack of professionalism. I call the studio to sign up, but I'm dismissed because he's busy and tells me to come by. I pass, but he still has things to do and he quickly explains to me how the lessons work, the costs, and shows me the room. When I tell him that I've always done matwork but I don't know much about machinery, he suddenly tells me "...and there's no place anyway! The individual lessons are full!”. I tell him that it's fine, because I would like to have a group lesson. He replies no because I would slow down the other members, since I don't have their level. So I ask him to let me do at least the couple lessons, so that he can follow me better and I can learn quickly; he replies that it could be done, but I would have to bring the second person, because he can't take care of matching our schedules or our level of preparation.
Result: no pilates for me. This person is a teacher who doesn't want to waste time teaching, and has a studio he doesn't want to waste time organizing. It may be as good as the reviews say, but if you are not a "scientist" you will not have the pleasure of trying it. And then I ask myself: how long will it take to show someone how a machine works???? Going slowly compared to the others would be my problem, given that everyone is on their own tool!!!!!
Terrible!
