When I first discovered “True Pilates” I knew nothing about how Pilates worked, I had heard about it ,of course , but had absolutely no idea of what it entailed . I went along to my first individual lesson full of trepidation . I shouldn’t have worried as immediately I found myself in the hands of an expert who was patience and professionalism personified . I now know that in order to excel in Pilates you need to have absolute faith and trust in who is training you. “True Pilates” gives you this and much, much more . They know my body ,and it’s limits ,better than I do! It soon became an essential part of my life It is an absolute joy and privilege for me to frequent this centre. Apart from the incredible professionalism one finds , there is also the wonderful sense of being part of a “family” who are always there for you, encouraging you to reach goals that once seemed impossible . I have the utmost faith and respect for this centre, and it’s staff . I would highly recommend it to anyone ,whatever their level of experience of Pilates. Lastly, I would like to say “Chapeau” to Sabina who is the founder of “True Pilates”. She has created something rare and wonderful and deserves all my respect . Brava and thank you Sabina!

Having recently relocated to Rome from LA, I was excited to enrol at this studio that had received such glowing reviews on social media. Unfortunately my experience was extremely negative and I would suggest all glowing reviews are read with a healthy degree of sceptism. While training with the founder of the studio - Sabina - I injured my back. I was unable to continue with Pilates (nor did I want to after my injury) and requested a refund as I had just paid €950 for ten sessions. Sabina refused to refund me. I found this to be both unprofessional and unethical (as I had not been made aware of this policy nor had I agreed to it). There are so many beautiful yoga and Pilates studios in Rome that one doesn’t need to be subjected to this type of unprofessional conduct or potential injury.

I followed the True Pilates training course with Sabina Formichella and I couldn't have chosen a better path. Sabina is very professional and has immense knowledge of pilates, every lesson with her is a great opportunity for growth and learning. The courses take place in a highly professional context, all the teachers are highly qualified and always available for any doubts. I undoubtedly believe that it is the most complete path to becoming a true Pilates teacher ❤

Excellent. There is nothing better for (real) Pilates in Rome: all the teachers are highly trained, the studio is large, bright and spotlessly clean. Great professionalism and courtesy. Highly recommended.

Excellent everything. Highly trained, extremely helpful and very kind teachers, like all the staff. It costs more than a normal gym, but it's a world apart, they "correct" you to the millimetre!
