i had a wonderfully relaxing stay at Om Yoga! There were plenty of classes to choose from (I did 14 classes in 5 days!) and the instructors were great. Some classes are primarily in English and some in French, but they are accommodating if you do not understand French. I liked the variety of classes, so i could do several per day and not get bored. Although this is not a hotel with a concierge, the staff were all extremely friendly and willing to help me figure out what to do and see. I did one outing with one of the staff members (for a small fee) and one on my own with a tour i found on tripadvisor. The neighborhood is beautiful and it's a short walk to the beachfront.
The food was mostly vegetarian and all delicious! It's not like a restaurant where you pick from a menu, although they will accommodate any dietary restrictions you have. There is one meal prepared for the group and you eat together at set times each day (They will make exceptions if you want to do a class during the same time). Personally i loved this, but it might not be for everyone. I liked the break from having to plan my own meals, shop for food, or pick a restaurant, etc...it was nice just having it all decided and done for me! If you are a snack person though, you might want to bring your own stash. There is also no alcohol, not as a policy, it's just not offered.
My room was very comfortable and quiet. There is AC but the weather was so gorgeous i hardly needed it.
I left feeling relaxed, refreshed, stronger and healthier. i highly recommend Om Yoga to anyone looking for an affordable retreat in a beautiful location.
