ResizeImage5b44.aspxEdinburgh Yoga is run by Stephanie Paxton, who has been practising yoga for over 30 years.Stephanie’s early introduction to the multiple benefits of yogic practice came under the guidance of her mother, a yoga teacher of some 50 years standing and founder of one of the first yoga clubs in Edinburgh in 1970. She then went on to study the art and practice of yoga in New Delhi,Edinburgh Yoga offers one-to-one or group sessions, and in-house corporate yoga courses.
Stephanie is also a qualified massage therapist, having studied with the Scottish School of Professional Massage & Remedial Studies, affiliated with The Institute for Complementary Medicine & Professional Massage Association of Scotland. She offers a variety of massage therapies.
Yoga
Stephanie practices Hatha Yoga, known to balance body, mind and spirit. It combines deep breathing, postures and relaxation and is a powerful antidote to the stresses of modern-day life.Yoga works on all the bodily systems, toning the muscles, stimulating the circulation and improving health.
Massage
Stephanie offers a wide range of massage therapies based at Bell’s Brae House in the Dean Village.Massage is probably the oldest form of medical treatment, a centuries-old technique that is able to induce a state of deep relaxation and healing of the body.
Yogassage
Yogassage is a wonderfully effective way to treat both body and mind.Release tension and stretch with an hour’s one-to-one yoga tuition, then soothe away everyday aches and pains with a 30 minute relaxing back and shoulder massage. Exercise and relaxation rolled into one!
