Its primary aim is to spread the Buddha’s word world-wide. The centre was founded by Venerable Weragoda Sarada Maha Thero, who is also the Religious Advisor, with the dedicated support of a group of pioneering devotees led by Mr. Ee Fook Choy and Mr. Dennis Wang Khee Pong. The Centre was registered as a charity organisation. Though it started and commenced its Buddhist activities on a minor scale, it has evolved 20 years later to become an internationally acclaimed institution that radiates and spreads the glory of the Buddha Dharma. - By Dr. Jeffrey Po Our Founder Weragoda Sarada Nayaka Maha Thero • Chief Sangha Nayaka of Singapore (Malwatta Chapter of Shyamopali vamsika Maha nikaya, Sri Lanka) • Chief Monk / Chief Administrator, The Singapore Buddhist Meditation Centre, Singapore. • Founder-Member: American Sri Lanka Buddhist Vihara, New York • Founder-President / General Secretary, Japan-Sri Lanka Buddhist Centre, Japan Chief Incumbent Monk Jayanthi Viharaya, Weragoda, Meetiyagoda, Sri Lanka Honorary Titles: • Sri Saddharma Visharada ; conferred by the Malwatta Chapter of Sri Lanka & appointed Chief Prelate in Singapore on November 2006 • Saddharma Kirthishree ; conferred by Maha Bodhi Society of India on 17th September 2013 Under Construction TITLE It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout.
