Having a psychology degree and a 6-year work experience in this field in Belgium, I built an awareness that the body and the mind are two things strongly linked to each other. During these years, I understood that keeping my body moving was an essential need to my body but also to my general well-being. I directly felt a complete match with the Classical Pilates method. You strengthen your muscles, keep your body moving by developing an awareness of your body, your muscle activity in motion. It enhances your daily activities because you gain in strength and know how to move your body in his proper alignments. After moving to Sweden, I thought that It was the perfect time to learn more about Pilates and be able to share this method to other people. I decided to follow the certification in Stockholm with The Pilates Standard®. The Pilates Standard is an education program created by Bob Liekens. He was a Romana Kryzanowska’s student. Together, they developed an education manual to continue sharing the Classical Pilates method. Petra Karlsson was my teacher. She is a Classical Pilates Instructor, she learned and worked with Bob Liekens. She has a degree of Naprapathy. During my certification, I was also supervising by Stephanie Fjalestad, my mentor. She is a professional dancer from New York and has a Pilates Certification from Romana Kryzanowska. She has been a Pilates instructor since 2003.
