My yoga journey began over a decade ago on a terrace in the lush Costa Rican jungle. The wind on my face and the surrounding sounds transported me into a state of complete presence, as if for the first time. Prior to this experience, my only exposure to yoga was at the gym, and I failed to grasp its true essence. Upon returning to Oslo, I delved into Power Yoga and soon after found my calling in Ashtanga Yoga. As I immersed myself in the Mysore practice, I realized that yoga was more than just exercise; it was a way of life. In 2013, I traveled to Thailand to complete my YTT 200-hour training, and a few years later, I felt compelled to share my knowledge with others. To me, yoga is the practice of understanding the body's physical and psychological layers through various asanas (poses) and pranayama (breathing exercises). By uniting the mind and body, we gain a deeper understanding of ourselves, leading to health-promoting factors such as presence, peace of mind, and mindfulness during physical activity. Today, I teach my own workshops and courses, along with drop-in classes such as Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, and meditation. I am trained in traditional Hatha and Vinyasa E-RYT 500, Ashtanga, and Yin yoga. In addition to my yoga training, I have pursued further education in assisting technique, anatomy, Pranayama, and meditation. I hold a bachelor's degree in health pedagogy and a master's in occupational health science with a focus on ergonomics and a personal trainer (PT) license.
