A place for reflection, inspiration and guidance When you walk on the Eriksleden and approach the mounds in Gamla Uppsala, a height is visible on the left side with a ring of stones. The stones are gathered like an ancient ship's set or judge's ring. Each copy of the nine stones is decorated with pearls in different colors and with a name imprinted, words such as Self Pearl, God Pearl, Carefree Pearl. You have arrived at the Rosary Place. The Savior's Rosary site near the mounds in Gamla Uppsala offers a place for thought and reflection, but also a place where you can draw strength. With the help of the pearls, you can stop and think. The place is used by church groups as well as individual hikers and can be compared to an open-air church that is open 24 hours a day and welcomes everyone who passes by.
