OUR STORY Home of Light Yoga Vidya was established in India in 2009 with the blessings of our Guruji Yogacharya Dr. Raparthi Rama Rao of the traditional Himalayan lineage and the support of a group of Yoga Pracharaks (spreaders of traditional yoga). In 2019, we established a presence in Bangkok, Thailand connecting yoga practitioners from different parts of the world. Through the practice and the learning with us, yoga practitioners can learn authentic Indian traditional yoga and start a true yogic journey. Our practice strictly follows the ancient yogic techniques of the traditional Himalayan lineage with the origin, essence and integrity preserved since ancient times. The knowledge received from our gurus and experience from our own practices have transformed our lives. OUR APPROACH Our practices are in one-on-one or small private group (up to 4 persons) settings. The teacher will tailor the practice according to individual needs and design specific yoga practice sequence for each student. Yoga is inherently therapeutic if practiced in a correct way under expert guidance. It is scientifically proven that yoga can help relieve many chronic health issues. In India and Thailand, we have helped many people suffering from body pain, slipped disc, scoliosis, sciatica, spine misalignment, insomnia, depression, obesity, thyroid problem, diabetes or high blood pressure and many other health issues to heal their body and mind through yoga practice. Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi (1879 – 1950) Bhagavan has shown the direct path of Self-inquiry.
