Shiva is without doubt our favourite restaurant in Hua Hin. We've lived in Thailand over many years and having travelled a lot of Asia and the world, we are always very excited to visit to Shiva for our fix of flavour and culture. The owner Dr Dewan and his team treat us and every guest with great attention and the food and drink that is served is created to meet individual tastes and requirements. I love spicy and the chef does a tremendous job! I highly recommend the jalfrezi (any type) and my wife is a big fan of the paneer dishes. The restaurant has also recently been updated and looks better than ever. The prices are excellent and you get 5* treatment, cuisine and a unique experience. The team will even organise transport to support your needs. Looking forward to my next visit! I always get takeaway for lunch the next day too!

I've lived in Thailand for over three years now and I still come back to this restaurant everytime I want an Indian meal; nowhere else compares! Ambience is lovely, service is excellent with friendly, helpful staff and Dr Dewan even takes the time to check on each customer during their meal. The food is delicious and at a very reasonable price! If you love Indian food you won't be disappointed!

It brings me great joy that Shiva Restaurant run by the Infamous Dr. Dewan has re-opened post covid! I have been comng here for several years now and it remains at the top of my list of places to dine in Hua Hin. Come enjoy the beautiful gardens and friendly staff. The atmosphere will bring you to anither world!!!

The sights and colors are the first thing you notice when you come to this restaurant, that doubles as a clinic. The food is unforgettable too and they are mindful of small but important details of cuisine, such as cooking the onions and garlic last to keep their fresh taste and feel. The smells of the open air kitchen are amazing. The service is always on point, we never had to wait to ask for anything. The food, ambiance, and service is exactly what you would expect of a high end restaurant but when our bill came, it was surprisingly a fraction of the price. We will definitely come back every time we visit Hua Hin. The owner, if you have the opportunity to meet or speak with him, is truly an accomplished individual.

Me and a couple of friends had a great experience eating at Shiva on Tuesday 15th September. We have eatwn there before but this was our first time after the big renovation. The food was as usual top quality and very tasty! The restaurant has a great vibe to it now with the ourdoor lighting. Friendly and helpful staff as usual. Best indian eating experience so far in Thailand. Absolutely recommended

The restaurant reopened on 1st September and I've already been 3 times (as at 11th September). That's a measure of just how good this place is. Incredible chicken jalfrezi, perfectly spiced to give it an array of flavour. Garden setting like paradise and friendly, welcoming owner. Excellent!!!

We had really been missing our fix of Indian food during Shiva's extended Covid break. We'd tried a few take-aways from other local suppliers , but they just didn't hit the mark. We'd heard of the re-opening, and went to give it a try last night. They say absence makes the heart grow fonder. Well, I don't know about my heart, but my taste buds and stomach found out what it was like to be back heaven last night. That combined with sitting in the beautiful gardens, makes it an experience I've never known anywhere else. First Class.

We went to celebrate my birthday yesterday, and enjoyed a fantastic Indian dinner. Great service, great food, nice garden and great value for money. I recommend to visit Shiva when you are in Hua Hin.

Mr. Devan, this is the best restaurant I'd come back anytime. You can also highly recommend the treatments and feel like a new person afterwards. This is an oasis to relax in. The chef speaks several languages, so you can communicate well. Always has a smile parad.

I visited Shiva just after lockdown ended in Hua Hin. It was my first night out and being an ever loyal customer, had to visit immediately as it is the top of my list of places to dine in Hua Hin! ( this conclusion after 5 years living here) Due to changing restrictions Shiva has decided to spend the next few months doing some incredible renovations to add to the already tranquil/beautiful setting. They are set to Re-Open SEPT 1st. Dr.Dewan, the owner of Shiva is working hard daily to bring the customer ultimate satisfaction. Come visit his flower garden and enjoy the best Indian food Hua Hin has to offer beginning of September. It never disappoints!

I wrote a review of Shiva almost 5 years ago, when I was happy to have recently found it. It was then quite new but already the best Indian in Hua Hin. It was important to me to spread the word as I crave spicy Indian food on a regular basis and was worried that the ambitions of Dr Dewan would not be recognized enough to be sustainable. Now, having eaten at this place almost weekly ever since, I felt it’s about time for a follow-up. So here it is: Shiva is still the best, and actually better than ever! The quality of the food is incredibly consistent and always high. The ingredients are flawlessly fresh and all the tastes are easily distinguishable, just as they should be, not mixed and unrecognizable as they too often are. The menu is more refined than it was originally. The ambience is still great and the garden gets cosier by the month. So, I don’t need to worry any more. Shiva is now well established and renowned, which is good to see. No negatives? Not really – this food naturally takes some time to prepare so don’t be in a hurry. Enjoy an appetizer instead while you wait for the main courses. Let me suggest the masala papadums – but beware, they are addictive!

As a solo diner Dr. Dewan the owner took special care to make sure I had a wonderful visit. All private seating is outside in his beautiful lush gardens. I purposely over ordered because I wanted to sample as much of his authentic cusine as possible. Everything was splendid. As I've stated in previous reviews to present a really great dining experience there needs to be a Captain in charge of staff and guest satisfaction roaming the tables. In this case Dr. Dewan is a master. Not only does he make sure everyone is thrilled with there dinner he does it with charming aplomb. It is a small adventure to find his location just outside of downtown Hua Hin but definitely worth the easy trip - Enjoy

I have found this restaurant by an accident on google. But I have to say this was my favorite accident in life. The place itself is very beautiful. We have met the owner who was so funny and attentive. And oh my god the food is just so delicious. I had to order extra to take home with me. By far my favorite Indian restaurant in Hua Hin. I wanna come back to try yoga a swell and their ayurvedic treatments.

Family of 6 adult and 3 kids, had an fantastic evening. The Owner (Mr.Dewan) and staff was very kind and where doing a fantastic service for us all. The food where fabulous and well cooked, tastes like heaven. This restaurant lies approximately 2 kilometers from main city, but are the trip worth!

We are here recently, January 2020. We have been a few times over the years and it is still as lovely as ever. It is a little bit out of the town but worth the drive. Lovely setting with lots of flowers and plants. Staff welcoming and helpful. Food is delicious although watch how much you order as can be big portions. We had the potato samosas, raita, prawn masala, lamb Bhuna, rice and plain man. Can’t fault it and will go again when next in town.

If you like indian food and are in Hua Hin you must try this out. A Villa outside city center with a beautiful garden, great menu and family atmosphere. The only thing to complain about is that I ordered spicy. It was not, at all but they fixed it very quick as I asked them.

Found this off trip advisor, love a good curry so I thought I’d would give it a try n and the reviews looked good! The decor is beautiful with all lovely flowers and different colours of lights makes it wonderful n romantic! The food was really good and not over prised plus the staff was friendly! If love curry’s it a must try!!

We have just returned to Thailand after several months filming abroad. It was New Years Eve where should we go ? We both said at the same time Shiva Indian Restaurant Sometimes when you go back to a place one can be disappointed but once again jackpot, location, food, wine and service all excellent, just could not fault it. As an international actor I am privileged to eat in some of the finest restaurant's in the world, and take my word this ranks amongst the highest. Dr Dewan you are a star

We were a group of 11 and we all felt that the environment, the service, and the food was all of top quality. A few of us ordered too spicy food and we let the staff know and they instantly took it back and re-madenit to make it milder, definitly the nest service we have recieved in our stay here at Hua Hin, would definitly recommend to anyone in the area.

Shiva's is a a hidden gem of a restaurant. Located in a very leafy area of Hua Hin, it offers what I would say hidden tranquility. The owner Dr. Dewan is an interesting personality and excellent host for a feel good experience. The food is well prepared, delicious and excellent for a group visit. You will not go wrong with any item on the menu. Highly recommended is the mutton curried dish which is very well prepared. You can taste the flavours coming out of the dish, and the spices that was used to cook it. Their naan bread is cooked the way its should be. The garnishing that comes with the dishes makes it a mouth watering experience. Recommendation is to try out their mango lasi which is very refreshing. Also recommended is the fish curried dish, chicken and the talak paneer. All prepared with the right amount of spices and to taste. With the seasoned basmati rice went well with all the curried dishes. To round off your meal do not forget to order the Indian masala tea (request for it in a mug and strong brew). Taken with a teaspoon of sugar makes it an excellent drink to what would be a meal eaten with satiety. This is my first meal stop whenever in Hua Hin. A nice chat with Dr Dewan is also very informative and refreshing. Highly recommended.

My wife and I went to Shiva for the first time on December 10th. The setting is absolutely beautiful, with tables nicely spaced around a lovely garden. The staff was attentive and friendly and the dishes were clearly prepared from scratch, and the spice levels can be ordered to taste. The owner came to our table personally to make sure we were having a good experience. We enjoyed ourselves very much and will be sure to return to this excellent restaurant very soon.

Our second visit to this restaurant which is a real gem. Located a short tuk tuk ride from the centre of Hua Hin. The restaurant is located in the gardens of a well being clinic run by the owner a doctor.The service is slick and attentive and the dishes are all cooked from fresh no reheated microwave meals here thank goodness!!! My husband had the lamb rogan Josh and says it was the best he ever had. Everything is cooked to your spicy preference. When next in Hua Hin we will return.

Great restaurant, set in a house in a beautiful setting. You sit outside surrounded by lovely flowers, trees and ornaments (no mosquitoes). Lots of lights in various colors, light up the garden and house. The food was really nice, all made from fresh and you decide yourself how spicy you want it. We ordered way to much food, generous portions. The owner showed us around his amazing house, that also have various massage and treatment rooms upstairs - during the day. We may go back for treatments. Owner told us about his amazing life and showed us pictures with lots of well known people, he is a doctor of alternative medicine and have travelled all over the world. I highly recommend this place, not only a restaurant with super food, but also home with a lot of history. You won’t regret it. We got tuk tuk there from Centara Grand Beach for 200bath. On the way back you can visit nightmarket, like we did. Owner organized transport for us. Thank you for a great evening.

Some of the best Indian food I have eaten. Would highly reccomend this restaurant for all occasions. Service was excellent and especially the owner who makes times for everyone who visits! Will definitely be dining there again soon!

I was there with 2 friends and it was a amazing dinner! The food was so great And we all loved it. It is a magical place and you can feel the Indian spirit in every corner. The staff is friendly and they do a great service. Sure I will come again and again!

I visited Hua Hin recently with my son and found this restaurant through Trip advisor, it was 10 mins from our hotel so thought it was worth a try. We were warmly greeted by Dr Dewan who with his team proceeded to give us an amazing dining experience. The setting of the restaurant is like being in a tropical garden and the food that followed was brilliant. I had the tandoori chicken and my son had a curry both of which were fresh, tasty and full of flavour. The homemade mango chutney was the best I have ever tasted. The service was nothing short of first class with Dr Dewan casting his educated eye over the proceedings. A great meal just a shame we didn't have time for a return visit.....next time.

Me and my boyfriend always go here for Indian food. The place is super cozy if you want to have a nice dinner in a friendly environment. The staff and manager is so caring and lovely and really make an effort for their guests. And the food is awesome, tastes great and they always ask you how spicy you want it so it suits everyone. Big portions too so I promise you won't leave hungry. So if you are in hua hin don't miss this place!

This is the 2nd time we are here and plan to return again....and again on regular basis. We have ordered lamb samosa, Onion Masala, chicken Teka, lamb curry, Garlic nan, Ora Masala.....we love the food and I do not even remembered what we have ordered because all dishes are excellent. Visiting to Hua Hin should not miss coming to Shiva Best India restaurant. Best of all we have Dr G Dewan who gave us his personal attention. Service is fast and attentive. Must visit.

Drove around Hua Hin on first day and made a note to come to the restaurant. Upon arrival, the owner was very welcoming, and settled us in (wheelchair access was possible) The menu is quite comprehensive and everything is made to order, so it’s not pre-made. We ordered semi spicy since we have kids in our company and the food was delicious. The naan was not too heavy and perfectly spiced. The mutton and chicken were filling for 2 people per serving. Vegateble Thali was a hit with my mum, a vegetarian. All in - a very refreshing dining experience over lunch.

I am thankful that we went to this restaurant based on tripadvisor comments. It was the bday of our 1 year old baby and we were vacationing in Hua Hin. Dr Dewan who is the owner, welcomed us like his own family. He is a humble man who has travelled across the world and chatted with us all, telling us stories of all the places he has been to. He made us feel right at home. The food was amazing. He mentioned beforehand that it will take some time as they make everything fresh, and it was really good. The ambience and the setting of tables has been done quite tastefully as well. And the prices are very reasonable. Cant recommend this place enough.
