I began group yoga and barre classes early this year with Tia Lancaster and Whitney Caison. At the end of March, I had an emergency hip replacement due to a horseback riding fall. To ensure a safe recuperation period, I began private yoga and Pilates lessons with Tia and Whitney. These instructors worked patiently to enhance and ensure a safe recovery process. Tia and I learned there is a big void of empirical information regarding safe yoga moves for newly replaced hip patients. She went above and beyond to research and adapt yoga moves for me, devoting a great deal of time to research on her personal time. I’m grateful for her dedication and expertise. I recently returned to group barre sessions with Whitney, group Pilates to follow, and I’m ready to resume group yoga sessions with Tia. These instructors are the best!
