LIFEPOWER YOGA
Whether it’s your first class or you are an experienced practioner, our classes will move you beyond the physical. Through a focus on connecting your breath and body each class provides an opportunity for students of all levels to come together as a community and to explore their physical, mental and emotional edges. Yoga benefits every body, beyond just the physical. LifePower Yoga classes are taught to all levels of experience and respect each person’s individual practice. We are connected through a strong community of teachers who are passionate about supporting you on a personal and internal journey that is unique to your body and mind.
PILATES
With its focus on core muscles, Life Time Pilates improves your body’s strength, posture and balance. The deep, mindful breathing and smooth, lengthening movements of Pilates can also help you reduce stress. It is good for males or females, young and old. All Life Time Pilates studios feature reformers with towers, chairs and barrels. Group sessions are limited to five students so you get plenty of personal attention.
GETTING STARTED
Begin your training with a comprehensive six-week Pilates Fundamentals Series and or with a Private 1-on-1 Intro Pack. Both series are designed for first-time Pilates students. Develop basic skills and terminology, and learn basic usages of equipment while enhancing core strength, flexibility and physical endurance. Both options will prepare you to move on to more advanced Pilates training methods.
OUR PILATES PHILOSOPHY
Pilates is an extremely powerful total-body conditioning method that produces long, lean muscles and builds strength without creating bulk. Life Time Fitness provides a progressive, comprehensive and outcome-based Pilates program to help you reap these benefits and more. Classes utilize a combination of equipment such as the reformer, tower and mat, with some programs utilizing chairs and barrels.
Our Equipment Pilates classes (also known as Pilates) are offered as private sessions or in small groups so instructors can give students personalized attention and help them achieve their specific objectives. Many of the Equipment Pilates classes also include some mat work.
Our Mat classes are conducted in a large group format in the Group Fitness studios. No reservation is necessary and classes are included with your membership.At Life Time Fitness, we make it easy to get started with Pilates. Classes are offered in two primary options. You may opt for a Pilates Fundamentals Intensive Class, which includes six small group classes and one private session. Or, you may choose a package of five or more private sessions with a Pilates instructor. Contact your club for pricing.
As you gain strength and technical proficiency, you will be eligible to follow our successive curriculum either in bi-monthly small group sessions or private sessions. Both options will help you continue to build on and strengthen your skills.
