Yoga has changed my life and has improved the way that I experience my life everyday. I have suffered a number of accidents that were traumatic, that left me in a lot of chronic pain and many other discomforts. I tried many different therapies and methods to heal, but nothing seemed to 'really' work. They did make me feel a little better, but I never felt completely well. I decided to try Yoga and searching thru a number of schools and methods, finally found Ashtanga. It was truly the hardest physical activity I have ever experienced. Yet, the only one that left me with a feeling of peace and contentment when I was done with the practice. It spoke to me because I kept going back for more. With the prior injuries I had from my mortorcycle accident, and being hit by a car while jogging years before, I had a lot of limitations when I first started. Yet, the healing benefits from this practice helped me overcome the physical limitations I used to live with. And the other benefits from the practice, like the way it relieves the mental and emotional stress that we can carry was also very liberating. I have experienced different styles of yoga since I was 16, but started Ashtanga practice in 2001. I became a ceritfied teacher in 2004. Got a chance to study with Guruji and Sharat in 2005. In 2009, I was able to go to Mysore, India to attend KPJAYI. Dae Kim, RYT
