G.A.P.S. is a great place for an experienced Pilates master and a Pilates newbie.
I fell into the Pilates newbie category when I first started going to GAPS. With the help of Grace, who is awesome, I was able to build my Pilates confidence and really enjoy the experience. Grace and her teachers are incredible people...flat out...good folk. They are also knowledgeable, body conscious, and just flat out easy to take instruction from. The class sizes are small, never more than 7, and it is less about pomp and flash and more about getting to work, feeling good, and trimming inches off the waistline. Because damn....Pilates trims inches off the waistline. Men, women, young, old...everyone comes to Grace. It's like cheers. It's a positive environment. Not yelly or screamy or "work hard bitch"-like.
I'm a late 20's, 6foot plus guy, who hates the gym and the aggro like attitude of the gym. I came to Grace hesitantly (my girlfriend insisting I get my Pilates on). But I became a quick convert...and three years later - I feel good, look a hell-of-a lot better physically and I really enjoy Pilates.
Give Grace one chance to show you how she does the Pilates experience and you will become a convert too. :)
Thanks Grace.
